It feels like you’re fighting animations from trying to take you all types of ways, slowing you down, and giving you animations that will either help the D guard you or throw you completely outta a positive scoring situation. It’s been like this since 2k19 and has gotten progressively worse. As I said before I find it odd that no other so called content creators talk about this because it happens in every game mode. Smh.
That’s the whole reason I started this page, to expose the game play and show just how terrible the animations are. That entire experience is why the game has become trash to me.
@@NBA2KISTRASH there is absolutely no user control. 2k decides if you do a move or not, grab a rebound, guard your man, or even make a shot. It has nothin to do with skill on the sticks, button input, or basketball ball knowledge. If you make a shot 2k ok’d it. If you get a stop 2k ok’d it. If you win a game 2k ok’d it. You don’t play 2k, 2k plays you.
I'm an off-line player so I don't play any of the gimmick modes like MyCareer, MyTeam or any of the on-line modes. With that said, this game is rigged and will make you frustrated and angry. The game is designed to make you lose, no matter how good you are. The AI opponents are superhuman, the referees are biased, and the game mechanics are unfair. You will miss shots, get fouled, and lose the ball constantly. I am sure every 2K player is aware of what I'm talking about so no need for me to get into details. MLB The Show is currently the best sports game on the market and it's not even close! A loss in MLB The Show is more satisfying than a win in NBA 2K!
What's crazy is that I destroy the computer and I'll still get frustrated with the bullshit. 2k is the only game I can win and still be put in a bad mood lol, but I love it.
I remember last time I tried the online build ur player shit it was 2015 and I was trying to get into because Jay-z worked on it. I remember we had to shoot by hold the acceleration trigger and then shoot. I have a theory on why this game has been like this for a while now. 2k has been trying to stop the practice of people getting VC from playing regular games, this is for people who grind instead of paying. The game isn’t hard anymore because a lot of us have been playing for yrs and have built skills to the game. The only thing might be new button added or new dribbling moves to master. We need to understand 2k is trying to milk money anyway they can, so by putting in cheating programs in the game helps that practice. Even the game VR check is so Biased that’s how bad it is. I can’t count how much I have restarted a game because the other team are catching up so now I can’t hit a shoot or make a layup. This supposed to be a next gen game and console but why are we still having players and the ball going through them and each other. I remember trying to block a shot with AD and the ball went through his hands and went in the rim in an awkward position I was mad. To make all this easy to understand 2k knows what they doing and the Devs are making sure VC isn’t going to be as easy to get. When u play HOF u get bigger VC amount, so now 2k is giving free VC because the game is trash just saying. Sorry I said a lot.
The call challenges are a waste of time feature. The ai has never once challenged a single call. But when you as a player challenge their bogus calls on you, it does not matter one bit how obvious it is, you just defacto lose the challenge every single time.
Agree 100 percent, then people say you still play it tho, why, cause it's the only basketball game available, that's why 2k been doing this crap. They have no competition so they do whatever they want
The amount of times I’ve had a perfectly timed steal set up just for the ball to morph through my hands safely into the hands of another ai player. Or being directly underneath the basket only one near the ball and some ai player behind you snags the rebound because his arms go through you to grab the ball. They don’t even hide it anymore. Even on commentary, they orgasm when an ai player does a simple lay in, you hit a contested deep 3 or a mammoth poster dunk and they don’t even comment on it. Or if they do they just hate on the shot selection. 2k got an ego problem. Don’t be in game design if you’re so insecure you get hurt feelings over players beating your ai.
Your the 1st person that brought this to the peeps. I've been telling peeps this game is trash. I Uninstalled after unlimited. Worse gaming experience I've ever had.
This animation was in 2K12....one of the reasons I havent played until 23 and 24 out and 12 years later same ol non-basketball unrealistic basketball moves

Crazy bruh this my first year and i cant hit a single 3 the speed of the meter changes every 5 seconds and if u miss 2 shots in a row ur shot is almost non existent i cant even get a 15% contested and my meter no disappear get a simple lay cause even if bro shiudlve maxed out a big man 🤦🏾♂️

Exactly!!! What the hell is up with that shit!! I thought it was just me. Clearly hitting the button to take the shot in the paint only for me to go into this triggered animation that makes me pass the ball out. Oh and let’s not forget the bogus out of bounds turn overs on fast breaks when the receiver can clearly get the ball. Or when he does catch it he has to go into this bs animation when it looks like he’s catching a 40lbs medicine ball at 40 mph. And last but not least when you clearly are aiming your analog stick in a direction you want to pass and the game triggers an animation that makes you though in the most bs to get a turnover or no chance at a score direction possible. Smh….the list is infinite and nobody talks about this shit.
So I’m playing triple threat just now and I’ve just gotten to where the difficulty increases to all star. I’m running dynamic duo cards. Rubies boosted to diamonds (Suggs & Wagner) plus sapphire Obi Toppin (fucking fantastic card fyi) and I’ve matched with a emerald, ruby, and amy. The emerald is Marcus Smart so you probably know where this is going. Bro, emerald Marcus Smart on All Star is better than my galaxy opals. His speed is 72 and he outran Suggs (90 speed) to a loose ball when I had a head start. Also, emerald Marcus Smart is hanging out under the basket. I pass the ball to Suggs at the 3 point line in transition. In the time it took me to go through my shooting animation, he made it from under the basket to being fully in my face with a 73% contest…. Yeah imma head out.
It's even with just moving around your myplayer. My 6'6 guard can't complete a 90° turn with fluidity. It's as if he has chained weights tied to his ankles....he's 6'6 with high 80's speed & Accel 🤦🏾♂️
It cheat A lot thru algorithms by letting the other player with semi moment get Offensive Rebounds they not suppose to get and make you miss wide open dunks and layups this wasn’t cheating HE contested it and it depends on how good our player is vs the defender like 99 SGA makes that layup
