What is the reasoning to leaving such a large gap between the front side of the bumper (pointing towards front of truck side) to the rear fender? looked like there was over an inch gap.

I have never seen Tacoma bumper bolts come out as easily as shown here except on a new truck. At least one bolt is heavily rusted in place taking heat and penetrating oil to remove it. Tell us if this video was staged for the sake of time. I just added a hitch to my 2009 Tacoma today and 4 bolts were MF ers to remove.
