When Mckeltie says about being loved more, it reminds me of how my kids tease each other. I always laughed about the old Smother Brothers skit where one says “Mom always liked you best”. So once I told my kids, it became a running joke. So one Christmas I made pillows for each of my kids that said “Mom loves me best”. We all got a big laugh out of it!

Christine has matured so much during the seasons they have been on the air, I hope Mykelti matures in the same way her mother has. Their personalities are both outgoing and gregarious, so I think there’s hope for Mykelti.

Gwendolyn is definitely going to regret not being there, because Christine has always been there for Gwendolyn, and will always be there for her.

Our family is very much like Christine Brown and her kids. We're affectionate, loud, inappropriate and foul-mouthed. We love hard, have each other's backs, and we work hard to be better people for each other. My kids say things to me like Christine's kids do, and I give it back to them full force. People may see us as "inappropriate" but ours is a tight, loving, supportive family and we don't really care lol. It's worth the work and so amazing to be part of such a great group that will always celebrate you. This is how I see Janelle and Christine's families. They had the additional burden of escaping a cult and the cult's mentality, so I really admire them. Maybe not uncoincidentally I also left a cult before I had kids.

Oh I’m glad you brought it up … yaassss I always thought they look alike…. And by definition David is their stepfather because he legally married Christine… they can choose to call him David, stepdad, dad .. at the end it’s up to them .

Aspyn and Mykelti live I think within 20 to 30 min of Christine. Logan and Hunter live in Vegas. I think Ysabelle is still in NC with Maddie but I could be wrong about that one. She does not live with Christine though for sure. I think Paeden lives somewhere in Utah. It was St. George region but I'm thinking me moved maybe closer to SLCity/Lehi area but am not totally sure. Gwen, Gabe, Garrision, Savannah and Janelle are in Flagstaff and of course Truely is at home with C and David. Whew, I think this covers it LOL. XO

I heard the real reason why Gwen didn't go. It was not there had NOTHING to do with her mom but with TLC and how they handled her engagement party (I am guessing that is coming up with in season 19). So there you go take it with it what you want. As far as Meri is concerned she was so sweet and SINCERE actually SINCERE with her well wishes. She has matured so much.

I used to really enjoy Gwen's rewatches, she started her channel to prove that Christine never mistreated Robyn, she said that. She praised Christine and said she was a great mom. Apparently since Paedon slapped Gwen when they were teenagers, Gwen has held a grudge and disagrees with his political views so for years Christine has had to either invite Paedon or invite Gwen to holidays, unless it was a huge family event with everyone, Gwen wouldn't attend things if Paedon was there, really unfair to Christine. Then Gwen changed her POV, she disagreed with how Christine handled the divorce, says Christine is dramatic and wasn't the best mom, despite what she said a few months ago. Gwen said that Christine said to her "I'm sorry your dad never loved you" but this was actually recorded and on the show at some point, what she actually said was "I'm sorry your dad didn't love you the way you needed him to" that's a big difference but it shows how Gwen can twist things. Kody gave Gwen a big check around the time she changed her opinions, apparently, people think he did this as "hush money" so Gwen wouldn't be as hard on him. Now Gwen is making ridiculous comments like she was the one who "raised Truely" even though she moved out when she was like 18-19, meaning she hasn't lived with Truely since Truely was 8-9. The fact she doesn't even understand what "raising" a child is and this sudden shift in views on her mom and her whole family makes her less believable. I think Gwen decided to not go to the wedding because Paedon was in the actual wedding party by walking Christine down the isle, that's what bothered Gwen so she decided to not even go since this "evil" brother who wronged her was involved in the wedding and she wasn't. This is really immature and petty, Christine was there for her and supported her, she should have done the same. School work is done online, she could have easily did her homework at the air B&B and taken a couple hours break to go to the wedding, this was a poor excuse. Most teenaged siblings fight at some point, this is typical, siblings usually forgive each other, expecting your mom to choose between her son and her daughter, just to make the daughter comfortable at every single event is beyond unfair to the mother. I've thought Aspyn looks like Gwyneth Paltrow too!

Could the Gwen thing be that she was mad at TLC, something about what they did regarding her wedding anouncment and how TLC used it as a Kody & David meeting.

They knew Robyn. Christine knew Robyn. Christine is Robyn's ex husbands first cousin. Robyn's ex is the son of Christine's Mother's Brother. Christine knew Robyn, and I'm certain she knew about Robyn....which was another reason she was angry about Robyn marrying Kody. None of the OG3 were happy about it.

I moved to Ireland from Portugal when I was 15 in the 70s and I could not believe my luck when I realised that I did not have to hug or kiss people and a simple Hi would suffice. I have Children and grandchildren that are either in the ADHD or the autistic spectrum or both and they are all very sociable and affectionate , everyone is different .

I read that Christine had said it was a much longer speech from Janelle but it was cut down

The official excuse for Gwendolyn's absence is that she was studying for an exam. She said that Christine knew about it and that it was Christine who told her to just stay home and minimize the stress and anxiety. We know that Gwendolyn has autism and is also in a very challenging course of study which may have resulted in the mother and daughter deciding that it would be best for her health to stay at home. However, I believe there are at least two other factors also involved in why Gwendolyn didn't come, apart from her studying for an exam. The other reason I believe also caused both stress and anxiety for Gwendolyn was that Paedon was playing a role in the wedding. Gwendolyn didn't even invite Paedon to her own wedding this summer, he was the only member of the Brown family not invited to Gwendolyn's wedding. Christine has never been honest about Gwendolyn and Paedon's relationship, just making it sound like they can't be friends because they don't agree on politics. But there is something much bigger behind it that Christine decided was none of her business, which has undoubtedly hurt both Gwendolyn and Paedon in parts. Mykelti once said that because of this discord, sometimes only one of them is invited to an invitation or during the holidays (it seems that Paedon is invited more often, which presumably also hurts Gwendolyn). They both went to Logan's wedding, but neither of them had a role, and Logan had already informed Gwendolyn that she and Paedon were not sitting at the same table at the party, which no doubt helped a lot. The other cause, aside from exam preparation, I think is Gwendolyn's righteous anger towards the producers of TLC. But Gwendolyn didn't want her wedding or anything related to it televised. Christine throws Gwendolyn an engagement party or something similar as it is filmed for season 19 of Sister Wives, unbeknownst to Gwendolyn until she arrived on the scene and had to sign some kind of contract before she could enter her own party. TLC then used this party to film Kody and David meeting for the first time, so the show, and basically the entire party, suddenly became all about Kody and David. Which made Gwendolyn seem to have distrusted her mother for a while afterwards. So I understand that Gwendolyn didn't trust TLC to portray her in a neutral or fair light after that. She's autistic and may have trouble trusting or forming relationships, but if she feels she's being played, she keeps her word and won't be back where the cameras and producers are. Logan and Leon get to be left alone by the producers and thus get to be silent in the background, but all the children Christine gave birth to didn't get off so easily. But Gwendolyn and Mykelti have both said that Gwendolyn took part in the preparations for her mother's wedding, because a large part of it was not televised. Which tells us that the cameras and the producers' treatment of Gwendolyn at her own party has presumably meant that Gwendolyn will never appear on Sister Wives TV again.

I think Kody has used the "digging on her/him" thing before and it's not meant to be rude, believe it or not. I have to say that to me Kody seems to be honest with his comments about Christine getting hitched as of late. YIKES! I have to call it how I see it so I did. Came back to say that evidently Janelle's speech was longer and TLC edited it. This is according to Christine.

I like Caleb also and think he gets a bad rap from a lot of ppl. I thought the age difference was nine years not twelve. Anyhow, he seems to be a good husband and father. I like him.

I agree re. Gwendolyn. She’ll regret it eventually. I think the plain T-shirt as opposed to his usual plaid was a conscious choice to show off his necklace. And his hair…… 😳🙄 One more edit I really think Kody is showing some kindness and maturity NOT because he’s finally seeing the light, he’s realizing he’d better change his behavior or he’s not going to be on another season and THAT is the main source of income.

I'm sorry but Gwen has been salty that her engagement party turned into a Kody meets David event and took attention off her and Beatriz and she has said she won't be where Paedon is.... I cannot help but think this was about those things rather than her college coursework.

In our age group, we see family differently. We are loyal through and through. I think Gwen has a lot of issues, like many of the kids in this scenario. This whole polygamy thing is damaging to kids. It's a CULT, and it has damaged these kids. The religion is messed up. If you want to know the damage, watch Amanda Rae. She escaped her polygamist family. She does her take on it, and it is very sad. These kids will always feel loss and pain. 😢These reality shows are so damaging to kids, and it's very disturbing.

This was a good one 😊 I agree that Gwen might have regrets about not making her mom’s wedding. I’m sure Christine really wished she was there although of course she is going to say she understands. I think the real reason was that Gwen doesn’t like being around Paedon. She claims he was mean to her growing up (and I think he was) so she doesn’t have anything to do with him. I have also seen times and heard her make comments that weren’t very kind or thoughtful whenever she was watching and reacting to season episodes. Sometimes I would see kody come out in her 😕 would’ve been nice for her to at least make an appearance at the wedding. Her mom has done a lot for her. Again I would’ve rather NOT seen Kody or Robyn’s mugs at all during this episode. They got no business being in it TLC!! Kody “seemed” genuine when on the couch in his Miami Vice get up, but I still say he’s salty as hell. He and Robyn both know their likability factor is negative zero so I think they’re trying to salvage that. Or at least he is. I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ I don’t trust him. Idk why Gwen wasn’t there but I’ve always felt that she would regret missing the entire sibling group being together. Plus Janelle, her nieces, nephews, grandmother and grandfather, aunts, uncles. And now, after Garrison’s passing I can’t help but think about her missing her last opportunity to have all the OG 13 siblings together having fun. 😢 I’m sure after his passing she was filled with regret. Gwendlyn had issues with TLC. She will not sign another vontract with them. And, you needed to sign a TLC vontact to attend the wedding. At her engagement party, they concentrated on Kooty meeting David and it overshadowed her party. Or something to that effect.

Robyn seems irritated that Kody is moving on. At least she’s not crying! When she says she hopes that they can be happy, do you perceive that was implying that they will make it difficult?

LDS temples have a waiting room for those who want to be there when the couple comes out of the ceremony. Only members with recommends can be there during the wedding/sealing. There usually are pictures taken outside of the temple for everyone and then usually there is a wedding breakfast. (This is instead of a rehearsal dinner the night before.) The reception is open to everyone. The polygamist sects left the LDS church over 100 years ago and they make all of their own rules so they do not have to do what the LDS church does. In comparison the LDS Church has 17 million members and the AUB has at their height only had about 10 thousand members.

Gwendlyn doesn't want to be around Paedon because he hit her when they were younger. I don't know why she didn't attend, but I just wanted to make it clear that her issue with Paedon isn't just about politics. (Some people have said that she should just get over the fact that he hit her because it happened when they were minors, but that's *_her_* call to make -- not anyone else's. I say this as someone who went through the same thing as a minor.)

Gwendlyn had a long talk with her mom, explaining how difficult her classes are, and she's studying for tests, wanting desperately to get good grades. Christine, being the amazing mom she is, told her to stay at school. She knows Gwendlyn loves and supports her, but school is more important. Gwendlyn, being the prankster she is, let everyone come up with all of these outrageous reasons for her not attending the wedding, from Kody paying her off, to her fighting with her mom, to Paedon walking Christine down the aisle. After a bit, she finally gave her explanation. Then Christine did the same. Honestly! When did we all become such conspiracy theorists?!? Sometimes, a thing is just a thing! Nothing more, nothing less.

The "emotional condition" could have alluded to the fact that Janelle was pregnant. Also...Meri and Christine were close. Janelle called them "The Christine and Meri Club"?

Christine's wedding could have been planned for a school break period but it wasn't. I had a chemistry, biology, calculus and physics semester and it definitely kicked my butt. I can understand not being able to go to a wedding. Travel day each way, wedding day and nowhere that is quiet enough to study. Add to that she is on a spectrum I can totally understand it being too much.
