Apparently the elbow thing was legal in this tournament. The boy was overly aggressive and was using his elbow out of frustration. Evangelene didn't have anyone in her wieght bracket and this boy too so they asked us if we're ok with her going against this boy who was I think 2wieght bracket heavier than her. After this match we had to wait almost an hour for the kid to come back cause he was soo upset about the lost. He came back with only 2 min left before he got disqualified.
I wish the elbow thing was not legal - that can cause serious injury if taken too far. You know, I was going to ask how much weight he had on her - more than a couple of pounds I think! Evangelena proved how technique can overcome size. Really sorry to hear how upset the boy was at losing round 2 and making you guys wait so long, but glad he made it back just in time for round 3. He looked really upset at losing the deciding match 3. I don't imagine that made Evangelene feel very good. She looked so calm and cool as they waited for the decision. Most boys accept their losses, even their losses against the girls. I hope this boy comes to realize there is no shame in losing to a more highly skilled girl and behaves with more grace and dignity in the future.
Yeah I also wished at that moment the ref would've stopped the match when he was digging his elbow on her throat and gave a warning or something, but no. I think the kid was almost 98lbs and Evangelene at that time was about 72lbs. It was just no kids were closed to their wieght wanted to do NoGi, so they asked both of us if we were both interested in matching them together knowing the difference in wieght
why the match is not stoped in 1.47? where is the 2 coaches and what this referee is doing? it is clear with the referee being crap the little boy do not want to fight. - both need to be teached sportmanship and values. this is not war.. this is sport that has to teach kids respect and empathy and if poppy is the mother.. oh my god another karen ..
I cannot really understand what is all about i will report the video for under age violence and bad culture i cannot understand the referees decisions a and i cannot understand your culture over kids.
