People really slept on Kpop for the longest, its nice to see people tapping into what's considered the "golden era" for many Kpop fans

You're right actually 2NE1 has 3 correct pronunciations. 21 which is a nod to their fandom name (BLACKJACK) also one of their symbols and first lightstick which was a deck of cards with an Queen of Hearts on top an Ace of Spades (their debut Fire: Street Version shows it up close) There's also 2.N.E.1 21st Century New Evolution New Evolution was actually also the name of their first Global Tour. Being the first GG to have one in kpop actually along with a live band. This is when they were breaking into the states. Their entrance into kpop created a new type of girl group which is what we've been seeing now. Many artist in kpop..bg and gg are influenced by 2NE1. Sound..performance..fashion..risk..they were trendsetters. Creating records..which some are only within this year being broken. Not broken in the sense that they are overtaken. Broken in the sense that it's been 7-9 years since another group has join them in holding these feats. They created the term rookie monster. Also were the first to do the sort of documented series with 2NE1TV which aired globally because it was so popular. They were also the global ambassadors of the kpop hallyu wave before disbanding. They were named the group who would get the US charts to take foreign acts seriously. First group on billboard charts. They also merged the fashion world into kpop from their own fashion choices gaining their attention. So yeah...21st Century...New Evolution...fit them very well. Lastly, To Anyone Which is also the title of their debut album. Similar to 21.NE Their presence was for anyone. Not just those who fit into one box. They released music for anyone to enjoy and connect with. They had an androgynous energy to them. Both mature and childish energy. Different styles of music. Ex: They take their most pop song from their debut year and turnt it into an acoustic reggae a few years later..then into a rock alt style with a full live bank a few years after that. They give edm with robotic voices and then a ballad with raw emotion...and make both number 1 hits. 2NE1 was group who had concerts where every song performed in the full setlist were All Kills on the charts.
