sejeong simply nails the aspect of evoking emotions within a song. sure, other groups' main vocalists can reach the highest notes or what not, but sejeong is different. she studies the song beforehand, analyses the lyrics, practices for hours. all that to present a praiseworthy stage to an audience that she greatly appreciates.

I think it's not that she was less popular when she debuted as a Gugudan member. It's just that IOI was widely known because of PD101 (the show has been immensely popular since it started that's why it's gonna show its 4th season next month). The hype for that program is just different and waaaay above all of the other idol competitions. She was popular then because she was in a group with members who are as popular as her. Gugudan doesn't have other well known members aside from Mina and the gap in their popularity is quite large. Group popularity can also affect the individual popularity of members so instead of hoping for more promotions for Sejeong, I'm more interested in Gugudan's activities as a group (which is close to zero). I'm talking about reality & variety shows. It's like people are only giving attention to Gugudan because Mina and Sejeong are there (because IOI 😓). The group needs to have a more solid fanbase because (tbh) fans of individual members in a group are quicker to leave a fandom than fans who like the group as a whole.

Sejeong is so good at singing her beautiful voice is so soothing as well her singing with emotions ❤️ i wonder why she’s so underated?
