@@riom.6091 ☝️this! She didn't have to mention xtina's name. Heck, she could have grabbed her OWN stomach, doubled over in pain, had more urgency in her voice and just pulled addison away. They're all dim 💡🤦♀️
Burke is literally saying “yang?” He can sense somethings up, what do you think he’s gonna do?! Stop mid surgery?! And there’s others doctors in there so why you blaming Burke who’s actually doing the surgery while the others are not.
he wasn’t saying “yang” to check up on her, he was saying “yang” bc he thought she was being a a-hole and he was quizzing her and telling her to “do her homework”
@@miapreteroti5369 he was saying “yang” questioning her to see if she was AWAKE. Yeah he was quizzing her before that, he quizzes everyone. Then when she wasn’t answering him he said “Cristina?”
My mum had an Ectopic pregnancy before I was born and the doctors said she most likely would not be able to have kids since she only had 1 fallopian tube but then she had my brother then me, we are miracles =)
Lucy Love No. His attention was as much on her as the surgery. He was berating and glaring at her. With all the time he spent staring at her, he should've noticed she was sweating, her posture was weak, her eyes were barely open, etc. For example, he spent this period staring at her 0:08-0:17 while just glancing at his patient one or two times. Honestly, just seeing the sweat and the fact that she wasn't looking at the surgery has to show him that there's something wrong with her. Cristina is not the kind of person who doesn't know the answer to a question, who doesn't pay attention to open-heart surgery.
He doesn't seem to care about his patient much when he sees Cristina faint, who isn't his patient, as you've mentioned multiple times. He's looking at her. He saw that she was looking away from the surgery, which prompted his assholery comments to her. He thought she was bored with the surgery. If he is able to make such observations that she is looking away, he is able to see she is sweating and making the connections that she isn't feeling well.
SummerTime seeing someone look away during surgery and glancing at someone is not even close to operating on a patient. How you can even compare the two is a little ridiculous.
You guys are beyond ridiculous. I am not talking about reality. I'm discussing a scene where a character is clearly worried about his significant other over some patient he does not know. That is the point. But, that also fits real life, considering how family members are not allowed to operate on one another because of their relationship. Clearly, Burke's attention is on Cristina because he cares for her. Furthermore, you are missing my point. The main point. The whole purpose of this entire thread. Burke misses the fact that Cristina is about to faint. If we are gonna talk about reality and real doctors. A real doctor would be able to see that their intern is distressed. Besides that, a real doctor with feelings for their intern would obviously notice that they are not well. I am not arguing that looking away require the same amount of concentration and attention as surgery. His thoughts are on Cristina as well as his words and his eyes. Frankly, I find it condescending that you don't believe I realize that surgery takes focus. But, surgery also takes skill. Part of what he is doing may just be muscle memory as you may recall a scene where Chief Webber goes through a skill lab and completes it with his eyes closed. This surgery seems fairly easy for Burke, a fantastic surgeon, especially since he doesn't seem panicked about it at all and he is working alone (w/o other attendings). Besides, I said his attention is as much on his surgery as they are on Cristina. The meaning of my sentence was that he is heavily paying attention to both, if even.
"Full diagnostic"? I'm sorry that your brain can't understand the idea of seeing. A mere glance in the peripheral vision can tell you a lot, so looking at a person straight on is clearly worth a thousand words. I'm so sorry that your puny, illiterate, illogical brain can't process all of this. It's so sad that the human race has degenerated so far that they have turned into people like you; a person that lacks common sense and can't read. What a tragedy. I hope someday your reading capabilities and analysis skills are able to grow from the kindergarten level it is right now. But, that's only hope. If I'm speaking realistically, I don't think you'll be able to grow just based on your unwillingness to accept your mistakes and continual blabbing about something I do not care about and was not the topic of discussion I began. Also, you need to capitalize the "o" in "ok" because it's at the beginning of the sentence. It's "to" not "go" by the way. And, "Goodbye I"? What kind of sentence is that? Plus, "So, I'm done". You forgot the comma. I'm not worth your time or energy? This used up your energy and time? Well, that's just sad. Maybe if your thinking and typing abilities improve, you won't waste your time and energy, because I certainly didn't take hours doing this like maybe you did (using two fingers on your keyboard and looking up words in a dictionary).
Yes, but her name and type of surgery she had was written down on the surgery board for all the doctors and nurses to see. At least for those on the same shift, later she was still a patient so the information was in her chart. And knowing how gossipy SGH is, everyone knew either way.. So Bailey's "don't tell anyone" was pointless 😂
Yes! She was being so gentle and protective of Christina and soothing her during the op, despite usually being tough on all the interns. I really love the way these characters are wrote - very human & multi-dimensional.
If Burke really knew Cristina he should've been able to tell that something was wrong just by the way she was acting. She doesn't usually stutter through questions she is always the one to know all the answers. I'm glad they're relationship didn't work out.
No because she was having so many problems with her mom and Derek I just dumped her because remember they had just gone jog in that morning They were on good terms and leader that episode she want to be in the room and she was really mad because they wouldn’t let her in
She has just left another surgery, then George gives her info about her mom then Mer realizes George isn’t telling her everything so she asks “what aren’t you telling me”
Reason idek of why George Omalley was not a good character. Izzie obviously didn't say Cristina was pregnant because Cristina didn't want people to know and then he goes and announces it. We live T.R but Bambi got on my nerves.
Sarah Fowler it’s an ectopic pregnancy probably in her fallopian tubes , when the egg continues to grow it can literally snap the tube and get it to bleed all inside of the peritonitium
Nicole Maj You clearly haven’t studied medicine at all this is realistic it’s an ectopic pregnancy and her Fallopian tube burst and she was bleeding internally
Burnt Orange Izzie didn’t know what to say, and also the other doctors etc are focusing on the surgery. Whether that be observing it or being an active participant
