I just started the show today and I love it already. I am still in season 1 and I like Burke an christina's chemistry and I also like izzie's and george's track.
When u go rewatch the old episodes, you’ll see tho that cristina at first wasn’t entertaining the idea of burke. But when burke defended meredith, she sees him as something more than a surgeon with a god complex. Ugh i miss them
Way to go for fucking up the entire show after these two split it was OVER. I'm still grieving. The best chemistry I've seen, not even shepherd and meridith can top that.. burke and christina 😭
Something about Preston Burke to this day... only television heart throb I have. Everyone else just aggressively attack once the door closes no he goes for the head and totally embraced her...damn
Damn. Reading all the comments made me feel bad for hating this couple. I'm rewatching the show for the third time and I still think Burke was too good for Christina. He was caring, responsible and I saw how he loved her, while she seemed to care more for her career, and just give truly attention to him when the subject were 'surgerys'. I know she loved him, on her weird way, but he deserved more.
Burke was already head of cardio and Christina was finding her way..so he was ready to settle and have a family while she was still working hard on her dreams..they were right for eachother, the timing was bad.
I love the episode of grey,s anatomy season 1 episode 5 and I love that episode because that is when here and burke get to tagther and.that is my best episode

He chose his career over her. And he left her without even bothering to say goodbye or see if she was alright. That's not love. She and Owen had problems, but at least Owen was there for her.
CeltycSparrow No?????? He left Cristina because she wasn't ready to be married. Yes, he did leave her out of his Harper Avery and that was WRONG, very wrong. But he did not leave Cristina for his career purposes.
I think it was both. I will agree with you that she wasn't ready to be married or have a baby....she's proved that with both Burke and Owen. She married Owen, yes, but their love wasn't strong enough to endure the tragedy of her having an abortion and him cheating on her as a result and she chose to move on to Switzerland when Burke offered her his practice. But both Cristina and Burke are very driven people who are completely focused on their careers as cardio surgeons. Cristina said it best when she told Mer that her and Mer were in a very different place in their lives. Meredith made the choice to marry Derek and have three kids AND be a surgeon and she's happy being both Mom and surgeon. Cristina is not ready for that step yet. She's still a surgeon first. Even when she had a gun to her head and the guy was threatening to kill her if she didn't stop fixing Derek's gunshot wound, Cristina still did the surgery. That's not a hamartia....that's just her choice. And yes it was wrong for Burke to exclude Cristina from his Harper Avery....especially given how much Cristina did for him when he was recovering from his hand tremor. And yes he probably was humiliated and angry when she left him at the altar. But for him to send his mother to say goodbye to her rather than closing that relationship himself was just cowardice .
+CeltycSparrow I don't agree with that statement about being a coward burke loved cristina they wrote that that way because they was not going to have the character back or bring him back to tell cristina goodbye burke always gets crap put on him they could have brought Isaiah back for season four ep1 to have burke tell cristina that he's leaving Seattle but they didn't so they wrote it where burke left and his mother had to tell cristina burke loved her enough to walk away from the wedding burke loved her enough that he would have told cristina face to face if the powers that be would have brought Isaiah back for just that one episode season four ep1
I hate how the show has changed, look at the cast nowdays, that's not how a show works, you hire the actors and they must be developed until the final episode, but greys anayomy is a writting from nothing, they didn't make a plan...lol this show had so much potential
Sad realization in an interview some where they said Burke said a racist comment towards the actress’s who plays yang. So it made them not truly like each other or work well behind the scenes. Also he didn’t enjoy the kissing scenes. This is just what I read some where online...
No that’s not true, Sandra Oh was happy Isaiah returned she as him had a great working relationship. I think it was more between Isaiah and Patrick Dempsey. Also Isaih never called the guy that played George a slur to him. He told Patrick “your not going to treat me like you treat that f#ggot”. Dempsey had a on set antics and driving people crassly and was later confirmed after Isaiah left. I don’t think the slur was the reason he was let go, it was because Dempsey was too much and things was getting physical. The actors that payed George didn’t deserve that.
Pretty sure they're gonna be endgame. They had so much chemistry and their storyline is both interesting and hilarious. I just hate Isaiah Washington for ruining my first ship.
Her character was so irritating when it came to Burke. Her primary focus was her career and just happened to fall into casual sex with an individual who wanted more than sex. She fed of Burke’s knowledge and lacked empathy. She would have been better off focusing on her career.
Does anyone know what year this coffee scene happened on the show? I ask because a similar thing happened with my boss, although we never became a thing and I wondered whether he was watching this and sending me a message.
