It is very sad that you have to tune your car install aftermarket turbos just so you can consider yourself slightly fast but at the end of the day you're still driving a V6 buddy
I just wrecked my G37 and I hope it's not totaled. I'm so bummed. I would look into the 3.0t. They are stupid fast underrated & overlooked. Just saw an article with one making over 500whp on stock turbo, stock motor, stock transmission.
I own a q50 redsport with some bolt ons and tuned on 91 and I’m probably making somewhere around 460 to the wheels it I had to guess. I have to spend about 6k to totally upgrade my fuel system but then I can run ethanol and make well over 500whp. Definitely a decent platform but the transmissions are infuriatingly weak and I’m getting some slip already. Probably gonna get a built trans soon.
@@DaytonaBlueHr just google the 7AT we had in the G37. When they switched to the Q40 and Q50, they fixed the transmission problems. In fact there's a bunch of G37 guys who swap the 7AT that came in later years. Cuz there's just no hope for the 7AT in my 2010 G37. It's trash. People spend $$$$ on fully built versions and still have jerky weird behavior.
@@2seep JB4 is a great, cost effective stand-in Until the vehicle is prepped for an actual tune (ie. heat exchanger, lower downpipe - minimum). Not to mention you can easily re-sell for next to no loss (buy used, sell used!). People just need to be realistic with expectations & with what MAP settings they settle with.
I totaled my g37 coupe. I only had it a few months and it came with upgrades. I really think it was tuned but I don’t know. It felt stupid fast.. I had a stock one before that so yea.
I really like tbh , I have a 6 puck clutch for them and I also replaced the clutch cylinder with a Zspeed CMAK kit and wow what a difference, definitely recommend them
Normally I would agree with you, but I had to tell you these Nissan Motors are far from Rock Solid as well. Nissan hasn't made a very reliable motor in quite a while. Unfortunately that includes these.
Guy in the G37 doesn't know that exhaust is actually stalling his performance by way of constriction of airflow creating backpressure and a loud useless sound. Lol
