UPDATE: PoB was updated slightly BEFORE 3.23 came out. Please grab the new PoB link below if you had an Arakaali PoB before you saw this. I've changed a few slight things to make the leveling experience ~10% easier. New PoB - pobb.in/Ypv0SjfmlIQQ
hey just stardet arakali's (1e time for me) thx to your guide was able to set it up and snipe moste of the important items for under a div and get it going very budgety and it's been amazing so far having a blast and knowing how much more i can invest to it to actually make it insane is alot fun to so ty for this amazing guide its so good an in depth i think even a total newbie could probably follow it definatly some quality content and i think it rivals build guides of on the level of people like zizaran
Played Arakkali's back in 3.21. The main difference was skitterbots linked with infernal legion instead of divine ire to summon the spiders. That makes Gravebind required though. Anyway I'll put it on my LS list. Welcome back :)
Oh yeah skitterbots also works to get it going. It would require a slightly different setup to fit in the mana for them but would give you back 2 get sockets. I'll keep it in mind as I minmax arakaali this season as a potential way to do things
Yeah, sadly... after the cremation nerfs we have seen through yesterday's gem batch, the only super viable early Sim farmers are now skelly mage, assuming it's being kept as a transfigured gem, dd which is not fun, and arakaali with a bit of money
Started EA champ to farm comfortably fpr the first xeek or so to farm up the fang and the suqire. Farmed 15 div and a squire dropped few hours ago. It s time for bed but i m looking at guides on arakaali s fang instead of going to sleep. Neat league. Nice video. Cheers
ok, i got time to look through the PoB and i have one thing that may be a little improvement for no big investment. Near "Spiritual Command" drop "minion life" and instead allocate the 2 "10 Strength" notes on the left. Spiders dont care for life and 20 strength is 20 strength is 10 life for u. Also your skilltree wont be affected by this change.
every day I keep thinking I should visit your twitch and keep forgetting to so I'll just leave it on in the background to get jumpscared when you go live next time. Had a question regarding switching over to arkaali, I play this type of build since 3.17 and wondered when will you switch to unbound ailments, when you can afford the awakened variant or is it more optimal for this particular setup to run splash/melee phys supports. Also was wondering about the tinctures, since they don't apply to minions that ascendancy is pointless ; The corpses are mostly a bossing type playstyle with the corpse consumption, the curses don't really make a difference and Sanguimancy's life reservation efficiency is contradictory to the investments into mana reservation efficiency so there are only 2 useful nodes in the Warlock skilltree. Which leads me to >what are your most reccomended charms for this build?
Unbound ailments is mostly just "fake dps" for any poison build as it only increases ramp dps and you will only see a benefit after your spiders are hitting a boss for a while. Because most mobs die in less than 1-2 seconds they get nowhere close to the point where unbound does anything. You might have a boss live the 6-7 seconds required to gain dps out of unbound but by that point it will already be dead or be phasing with any half decent midgame setup. It's why we are sticking to melee phys/splash depending on if you are mapping or bossing and upgrading them to the awakened versions later on. As for charms, the most important one are profane bloom charms. You really want to get 2-3 8-9% or higher rolls to allow you to have a decent amount of profane blooms effect while allowing you to swap over to necro which is a massive dps increase and overall better ascendancy. There's a few other interesting ones that I'll discuss in the midgame video in a few days but for the most part everyone should focus on swapping to necro asap with profane bloom charms.
Ive been contimplating arakalis for about 5 leagues now. Ive decided that it will be my second build this season. I plan to start as DD elementalist and farm currency to swap to arakalis before the end of week 1, hoping to be aboult level 95. Im very excited to finally give this build a go
I hope you enjoy it! It will be even easier following that route as you will be able to swap to a comfortable midgame setup and by that point I'll have all of my videos on arakaali out
Anything, arakaali is good at every farming strat and doesn't have any downsides, honestly. Pick what you enjoy and run it. The only one that wouldn't be good is Legion as it doesn't have the clear for it.
First of all, thank you so much for the detailed explanation on how to league start with Arakaalis Fang. Wanted to try it out for almost a year now but was unsure if it can work without The Squire and it looks like an amazing all rounder. Want I want to do is a lot of sanctums and Ultimatum. I hope this will do well in these mechanics, at least Poison SRS necro was amazing for sanctum in 3.22 Tough choice between so many interesting builds for me this league like SRS guardian, pathfinder poison, boneshatter, poison SRS.... but this video pushed me to Spider Summoner for the start 😅
Arakaali will do just fine in untimatums with how tanky it is and with how much profane bloom will carry you. As for sanctum it will do just fine in there depending on how you feel about resummoning spiders at the start of each room. One upside it will have over srs in Sanctum is that the spiders will last 1 minute making them summon and forget for a whole room.
Could u annoint for mana reservation instead of the jewels? That would open 3 jewel slots with "life, corrupted blood immunity, minion damage, minion attack speed" (not on one jewel of course) and/or anamamus gaze. This would negate the onslaught buff i think
I went for ravenous horde as a placeholder anoint until we can afford charisma as it isint too reasonable to expect people to get a golden oil the first few days. Eventually, you'd want to swap to charisma asap and then we can start stacking abyss jewels, but I just saw focusing on a redeemer rmr roll with a cheaper anoint as a better week 1 option for the average player
Hi Allie, I hope you're well ! Last league, I followed your impending doom guide and managed to do ALL content including ubers like a breeze, even without a mageblood. Thank you for that. Do you think this build has the same end game potential and scalabilty even without mageblood? I definitly consider to follow one of your guide again !
Yeah, this build will scale as well as impending doom will. It won't be by default as tanky as doom was and will require you to get an Aegis Aurora to be incredibly tanky. Luckily, Aegis is typically only 2-3 div, so it should be a pretty easy upgrade to make. Once you have it, this build will scale the same as impending doom will into the late game with 2 slightly different versions, one which will do medium damage but be near unkillable and one that will do dot cap dps and be medium tanky
@@Alliee Thanks for the answer, I will definitly try to be tanky as possible. I don't mind if it takes more time to kill stuff, I just hate dying. I played Balor poison SRS on 3.21, it was amazing and tanky. I played your impending doom on 3.22, was really amazing and tanky. I do understand that it will be as good as the others I just mentionned. Can't wait for your other videos about it!
Arakaali, Chains of Command, Absolution, Dominating Blow all will be very interesting with the new ascendancy Warlock of the Mists and specifically Penance Mark. It will allow us to keep up those minions much easier.
I'm in bed so I cannot confirm this myself atm, but I'm not sure if the tool tip on penance mark says anything about corpses. While it will spawn mobs for keeping up spiders, idk if the mobs will leave a corpse behind. Either way, you could always just channel divine ire for a second to generate the corpses needed. So no matter what Mark will be great for possibly giving this build another flask slot on bosses.
I’m currently 80 pre Arakaalis in white maps in HC and having trouble with spells, even with spell block. Almost died to pack of skeleton mages shooting fireballs, in basic rare gear with ring with first two ascendancy
Those mages are awful and Ive almost died in hardcore to them too. Try to rush for Arcane Guarding and pick up the extra spell block nodes at Sanctuary & Safeguard if you are not spellblock capped. Otherwise, make sure you have Sanctum of Thought, the Armour Mastery at Combat Stamina, and the curse mastery at Skittering Runes for 100% crit immunity. Id also recommend using enfeeble or temp chains as your Mark of Submission curse in hardcore.
Some drama happened last league, and I stepped away for 2 months. Since I've come back, my videos have been dislike bombed by people coming by just to throw hate. It's getting better, but my first few videos back have been heavily dislike bombed.
@@Alliee aa that sucks to hear. Builds plays really nice and the video is well explained so it helped a lot, try to not let it border you to much and do what u like!
There is a tree up to level 90 for Absolution to account for different people obtaining Arakaali at different points. What I'm recommending people do is do heist as they get to Act 10 so you can buy your dagger in early white maps but some people might not want to do that. Thus, I've made a tree up to level 90 to account for those who would rather prefer to play absolution to red maps and swap then. You could get all 4 watch stones with absolution if you want to as the level 90 setup will do ~1m dps which would be enough to do the bosses albeit a bit slowly but it would be enough for exarch and eater. Absolution on its own can work as a strong endgame build but this is just piggybacking off of it until you can make ~150c
It was mentioned in the notes briefly but it was to show that you can run melee splash instead of melee phys. I really really recommend this for any mapping you do as melee phys is overkill outside of pinnacle bosses.
Would you be able to check if the line "Ally spiders deal additional chaos damage with attacks" on Spider Matriarchs from the vendor corpses affect arakaali's spiders if we raise one of them as a spectre?
Ill be releasing a video tomorrow talking about the new spectres. Lets just say, with how broken most of them are, Arakaali will be a completly different build in 3.23 and im exited. Spider Matriarchs are going to need extensive testing but from initial testing dont look too good.
so, small thing I'd mention, before you can afford ancient skull and gravebind, using speaker's wreath is a great option to get the infinite loop going
Yeah this would work too as it guarantees the poison kills them and you get credit. Can be another possibility if you want to not have to summon them even earlier.
Yeah, the abyss jewel will be added onto this in the midgame pob it's just not available the first few days of a season. Not only that, but it's also pretty prohibitively expensive due to the rise in popularity of poison srs the passed few leagues.
Hrllo ! Ive always wanted to try arakali but seems very "slow" and overall clearspeed seems not that great. What do you think for someone who wishes to do essence/harvest/ultimatum and maybe blight ?
Arakaali is very much a fast build post minimum requirements for viability. The b roll in the video was with no spiritual aid so profane bloom wasn't being massively buffed and with level 1 gems. As you go further into the build and start getting clusters, the speed amps very quickly as every 1% as you minions gain is granted to you making you whirling blades faster while profane bloom takes care of the rest.
I talked about it a bit in the note section. You can but cyclone will be a bit awkward due to no accuracy so sometimes you might miss the worms but really it's fine especially if you don't like divine ire.
Hey Allie, your build-guides are great! 🤗🤗 Do you think Lightning Conduit will be viable for leaguestart + endgame? I'm really pissed Impending doom got nerfed. Ouch! I wanted to run that 😭😭😭😭
Lightning conduit has always been pretty good even after the nerfs. It should be more than fine especially since it received a pretty hefty buff. It wount be as op as it used to be but it shouldn't have any trouble with most content in the game and should be a decent starter if you are a conduit enjoyer.
Yep! That's the plan in the midgame update in a few days. I did not want to include it here as we don't know how expensive profane charms will be and profane flesh flames are both expensive and low in supply on league launch.
There will be a video on that topic coming out in 1-2 days. I thought there was enough there to discuss that it deserved its own topic. If you want a quick tldr, warlock or primalist are going to be the goto options with me leaning towards primalist until I know what effigy does for warlock.
as always, nice guide. just wondering on your opinions on using the cyclone tech to proc the spiders, and why you chose to do it manually? or is the cyclone tech just not as beneficial?
I talked about it in the pob and it's in the notes, but I think I failed to mention why in the video. Cyclone is bad because we have no accuracy, so cyclones' chance to hit is something like 30%. This means that it has a high chance to miss the worms, which could spread out pretty far when summoned that you'd have to chase down. The other issue is if there is an aoe under you while you do this, it could hit the worms and kill them before cyclone hits if it misses its first few hits. Divine ire has a bigger aoe radius making it always hit the worms and no accuracy to deal with. We don't care about the big beam portion of divine ire, just the pulsating aoe as you charge.
Would the curse on the new ascendancy that spawns phantasms on hit be any good for spawning spiders. i thought it might be an option to replace worm flask.
I'll be talking about this in a standalone video in a few days but a quick tldr is; its going to be great but it wount replace the worm flask unless the phabtasms work the same way as the worms and are destroyed in hit meaning they don't have any life. If they happen to have an actual life pool, whirling blades or divine ire wount be enough to kill them potentially. The other problem is that it's a mark so you would have to find a rare monster in your map to be able to curse them and start it. While it's not a replacement for writhing jar, it can possibly allow us to include a 100% uptime progenesis which would be incredibly strong
I personally don't like srs due to the constant resummoning while this is effectively summon once and forget. It also has in my opinion, substantially faster clear in the midgame and beyond and arakaali feels stronger in Sims where srs tend to just fall over and die in higher waves while not having access to explosions which are required to make high wave Sim farming decent
@@Alliee There will be no problems with explosions. they can be obtained with the new ascension tree. was in the announcement. thanks for the answer. I’ll continue to think about what to choose: SRS or Arakali
@@TheN1MuS I consistantly played this build since blight league and I personally think spider is better than SRS in every single way if you can get the dagger on league start. explosion, dont have to worry about poison chance, faster clear, about the same damage...etc. There are new techs this league so that the build is going to be the strongest it has ever been so im excited.
Destructive would be great yeah. The first think I'd do if that's your plan is to rush a 10-12 passive minion jewel with an attack and cast speed roll on it. It will be a really big dps increase and make guardians feel good. Other options would be expedition due to profane bloom or altar map farming due to the fast clear speed. Some other things you can transition into would also be boss farming, this is a good maven and sirus farmer but you'd have to be decently geared to make them not super slow or to eventually do sims.
I’ve always wanted to play it. But I’ve never had the currency to afford it. This is gonna be my first league playing again since 3.16. Hopefully like you said it’s cheaper to play this build
As I mentioned in the video, it might be slightly more expensive day 1 or 2 and it might not tank as fast but the 2 div cards for it will keep it in check. Dev card opening has become a popular leaguestart for people who are degens and it's causing a lot of div cards to enter the game sooner now. No matter what, arakaali will never be 6-7 div anymore and will max out at 1-2 even as a super popular build.
You could use solstice vigil, but this pob was put together assuming you are swapping day 1 and using the most common and cheapest possible gear. Vigil/impressence is just not available the first few days and arent cheap, so I did not want to include them in a bare minimum setup for this.
I have a video talking about all of the different choices, personally I'm going to go warden for the 30% ms while leveling and then swap to primalist andvuse primalist all league
Great vid. Is switching from occultist to guardian in favour of being tankier but losing profane bloom a good idea? With the new willdwood ascedancy guardian can also have profane pops.
Depending on how difficult obtaining a profane bloom charm will be, it should be fine. This build will work just fine on guardian just keep in mind you might want to perma run melee minion splash to make up for the loss of bloom until you get one. Otherwise, guardian is a great swap. I'm personally going to make a video mid league talking about a necro swap once we see how rare and expensive the charms will be as with charms I'm heavily liking necromancer due to profane bloom and shaper of flames.
Hey thanks for the guide. Will this build scale to sail through ubers late game? Or does it struggle and cap at maps? Also will using the new simplex amulet and getting aspect of the spider boost damage on this build?
This build scales into an absolute monster lategame and feels amazing with more gear. It only gets tankier, faster due to minion attack speed affecting you which we are stacking making whirling blades faster, and does more dps as you add on clusters, better rolls, squire, awakened gems ect. Now this is a poison build so it has a hard cap at 36m dps like all dot builds but 36m will feel just fine and will be extremely tanky on ubers. This is very much a build you can start with 1-2 div and throw 200-300+ div at it. I try to make my leaguestarters builds that can be played for most of the season and this certainly is one.
As a person who played this build to hell and back (since blight league) it is one of the best budget uber killers. As necro, I did several 1div uber challenge obviously not on league start but that shows you how strong this build is. This league with the new acendencies, you can get profame bloom on the charms so you can have explode on necro and get unholy might and use forbbiden flesh/flame for void beacon. This season will be one of the best seasons for spider build trust me.
Thanks so much for the response guys! Build looks way more advanced, your explanation is perfection with notes and everything as well. And plus able to tackle all ubers! Thats huge. I've played like 3 leagues so far and could never make a successful bosser coz I was too squishy. HOT autobomber, Rf inquisitor and even boneshatter jugg falied me. Maybe coz I'm just bad at mechanics. Gonna league start this in 3.23 and truly hope I can get all boss kills this time around. 🤞
I really find shield charge very clunky, whirling blades doesnt get stuck on every small thing. You can use either or but you really dont have the gem space for faster attacks of momentum. It should be fine because you are stacking so much minion attack speed that you are also gaining 1:1 due to Spiritual Command that it will still make Shield Charge giga fast.
Yeah, Arakaali is pretty much Ole' reliable. Unfort i didnt have time to update this to 3.24 but, if you remove the 3.23 spectres and charms, everything else should work just fine
Oh no! I won't have the luxury to follow your build this time :< I don't want a minion build this league and nor do I want to do poison damage. Great vid and guide nonetheless :) And I'll still watch the other vids about this build. Btw can you tell why you chose this one build in particular, what make it better? Is it just personal preference or is there another reason?
This is a build i haven't touched in about a year and between all of the potentially strong minion builds coming in 3.23 I wanted to play a minion build to be ready for it. Its also an archetype I haven't played in a year and wanted to do something different while still picking a build that can scale to hundreds of divs.
The new Penance of Mark skill from the warlord ascendancy might be useful for spawning the minions. It says: "Penance Mark curses a single enemy, causing them to spawn multiple phantasms when hit. The phantasms will be allies of the marked enemy with the same monster level. They cast a projectile spell which deals physical damage, and are immune to curses. You can only have one Mark at a time." So you might not need a flask anymore to spawn them when bossing. Thanks for the guide and I wish you a good start for the upcoming league.
Unfortunately, it wount replace the need for the flask unless the minions cam be destroyed and have no life. If they have any reasonable amount of life then you wount be able to kill them with divine ire. The other issue will be in mapping where you will need to find a rare monster before you can even summon your minions. I do thing penance mark will be very strong due to its ability to potentially give you an infinite uptime on progenesis on bosses which would be an amazing defensive layer.
Should be good, Arakaali has always been a strong build no matter what. You will have to deal with the loss of Affliction Spectres & you will lose a bit of clear speed from no Charms but it should be ok.
I would just follow a typical wandering path fast progression tree to get to t16 as fast as possible. I have an example of it in my red altar video from 2 weeks ago, and from there, you can really do anything. With arakaali being 20c, swapping to arakaali will happen relatively quickly.
Hell yes Allie, I was thinking of doing LA start but always hesitant for league start due to surivability, i haven't played fang since 3.18 and i loved your PF doom so much last league, basically same vibes as PF doom and the tankiness of fang is unmatched to get all of your own watch stones, thanks so much for your builds as always! Any thoughts on what affliction ascendency we should take?
To see the dps of arakaali, swap the pob tree to arakaali, the gear set to arakaali, and the gems to arakaali, then just look at the raise spider dps and multiply it by 20 for the 20 spiders. It's ~2.5m dps with the bare minimum setup. As soon as you get yourself some cluster jewels it will easily get to 4-5 very quickly and only keeps scaling from there as you add in more gear. A late game setup will do ~17-20m dps with aegis and 36m or dot cap with squire depending on if you want a very tanky setup or a squishier but substantially higher dmg setup.
Will try my best to, trying to focus on bringing back some of my older strats from previous seasons but I can do a new pass at beast and essence if there is time
Ek is effectively dead in my opinion as the nova enchant is most likely gone. Ggg did talk about how the transfigured version of ek will deal with no lingering blades but it it also doesn't shoot in a nova ek will not feel as good. As for ca, nothing has changed so all I'd be doing is talking about wildwood ascendancies but I will try to fit it in but no promises.
@@Alliee Really really hope they add a 3rd EK gem with the nova. I don't understand why they'd buff TS/LA and meanwhile just kill EK :( Maybe it's time to try some CA MF gameplay then
Now, you caaaaan play ek just fine with no nova, but what kills it for me is the sheer comfort of the nova enchant, I would not want to play ek if I had to aim compared to the previous version where no aiming was required.
Quick update on this, ek is fine as the transfigured gem is the nova enchant. Enjoy ek if you want to play it. I wount update it for 3.23 because the guide honestly can do with a big revamp so ill save it as a project for 3.24. The old guide is still pretty much 100% accurate as nothing has changed or has been added that would make ek different.
We don't know how tuned ultimatum will be and how difficult it will feel now. Back in ultimatum league we had the old rare mob affixes, which caused massive problems in ultimatum due to the auras stacking together. Obviously those are gone now but we don't know if ggg has done anything else to the mobs and how the new rebalanced ultimatum mods will feel. I cannot give you an exact answer but what I can tell you is that it will most likely not struggle with ultimatum at all. This build is going to be running Aegis Aurora and it's going to be one of your first upgrades after swapping to Arakaali which will make it incredibly tanky in an environment like ultimatum where there will be a large amount of smaller mobs hitting you. Profane bloom will also give you great clear and it will help greatly with the density in ultimatum. Overall, it's a build that's designed to do very well in similar situations such as simulacrums which is very very similar to ultimatum and if it exells there it should be able to do the same in ultimatum.
@@Alliee hmm ok, thank you for taking ur time and responding. What other builds would be good at ultimatum that can be league started if you know any at this time? Id like to have few builds in mind so i dont have to panic and pick one last minute like i usually do every league start lmao
Some other good choices would be: boneshatter, penance brand (not sure if people will have a video on this), woc into any ignite skill, splitting steel most likely, toxic rain, exanguinate pf, icicle mine (very likely)
If you mean for this build, then this is a pretty effective ssf build guide. You would have to play absolution for substantially longer and you would have to farm Overgrown Ruin or Sunken City for the div cards for Arakaalis Fang. Absolution is a great build in general and I might recommend looking at a more indepth absolution guide for some further inspiration as mine doesn't go into too much detail assuming you are swapping asap. As for ssf changes you make for this build; you'd want to farm heist as the helmet is so strong that it's very much worth farming out, but otherwise, you can play without gravebind just fine and you'd have to find a writhing jar before swapping over which is a fairly common unique you'd just have to make sure it's on your filter. This build will do just fine with all rare gear and some other things I'd recommend to farm to prepare for a swap/once you have swapped would be abyss for any darkness enthralled and delirium for 10-12 passive point minion cluster jewels.
This was asked in a previous comment so I'm going to post the same thing here as it's the same question. I have a section on it in the notes section in pob and a section in the video itself. It's very simple, as long as you have the links divine ire, cast while channeling, and desecrate together, you just channel divine ire for a second and while still holding it down, you press your writhing jar once and that's it you summon 20 spiders. Then you just start mapping, and the build does the rest.
Thanks I seen in your video the gloves make a huge QOL diff while mapping as well. I may give this a go. I always want to try minions on POE, but never do.
It will be fine for sanctum because the spiders, especially late game will be extremely extremely fast but they wount imideatly kill all mobs on screen due to them potentially splitting up. But, with a Squire everything will die very fast. This build also has a large amount of armor and es so even if you get hit it will reduce the resolve loss. In terms of visual clarity you will have a very very easy time as the spiders will be unnoticeable against the black background of sanctum. Overall, it will be fine but don't expect it to be as quick as the sanctum builds such as ts and spark. It's a build that will hold its weight in there but isint a build designed to farm sanctum.
glad to see you're back at making vids after the shitstorm u went through i wasn't sure u'd be back :) Allways loved ur content. But arakaali's not my jam :p
Yeah, very, very much so. This build is a strong Sim farmer, which means it will perform well in everything else and has a strong set of defenses behind it. Arakaalis fang might be a bit expensive in hc but absolution will do you well until you can get it. One other thing to note is that a big portion of this build will eventually need aegis aurora which is typically expensive in hard-core but you can opt to use a life on block shield instead. Lastly, the only downside in this build is that it doesn't have an insane amount of regen and I'd recommend to fit in a vitality while maybe dropping the despair blasphemy. You also might opt to pick up a few more health nodes while leveling as I don't pick up too many in act 1-3 and go for the big dmg spikes.
It's just 1 possible league starter, pretty much every single leaguestart build guide I have done for the past few leagues is like this. I would say this is definitely on the very tame side as arakaali is not that expensive the first few days.
