My idea for decorating my hangar and linking the useful to the original : Place "Cruz" bottles on the ground and align them to form a track in the style of "Mario Kart" Make a magnificent race to be used by guests to challenge each other "mano a mano" riding on "Pulse" cars ! The winner would win a lifetime subscription at Kel'To de New Babbage I will go discuss this unlikely partnership with CIG !
Seems to me that they have developed a new way to suck your playtime away by having to wait for a slow elevator. Add that to the list. They pop you in 3 minutes away from the hub in Orison, then you have to wait for a shuttle as you hoof it over to the shuttle bay in the first place. then you get a long ride in to where ever you are going in order to accomplish your task. They you get to reverse it to make it back to your bay now, and wait some more while you call you ship. Yippee! Isn't "immersion" grand? :)
It only sucks if you somehow need to summon a bunch of ships, otherwise get your ship at the old asop location and once you get to the hangar it's already on the pad. Geez
I'm with you 100% on the old hangers and having them again I miss the asteroid hanger most. Having an office in the hanger and a 12squea home would be nice
when were in live we need to do some testing with rare items also I think we should take a trip to covolex and see how many items we can pilfer and place in inventory ^_^
The ground vehicles our currently being called up Via the Ship asop terminal in your hangar it does not always work correctly like on microtech sometimes it still trys sending them to the garage area there but there suppose to be summoned in your hangar and I have seen it work. Nice video
my complaint with the cargo update will be is that its going to be a chore to transfer stuff off the planet I don't want to start at, to the station of my choosing. I pick stations because they're far less performance intensive.
Fair point - in the Tech Preview Checkmate Station was able to be set as a home, so I believe it is possible to set a home as a station at a technical level but question of will CIG allow it in the future. I could see homes being made for the 4 major stations above Planetary Landing Locations due to enhanced services and short hop distance to a major City each.
Color me a space dad or whatever other term is used for someone who prefers not fighting tooth & nail for every inch of space I cover.... But I'm not really with the whole "people can get into your hangar" idea.. I like the armastice zone drop for shooting practice or ship turret/weapons testing but the whole 30 second countdown before someone is removed from your space seems like an added risk that honestly, shouldn't even exist in major areas...Just my opinion. It can and will be abused.. Possibly to the point of griefing. How so? Imagine trying to get to your hangar and upon stepping on the elevator, a group of 2 to 3 guys try and rush yout elevator to hop on... Now you have to decide if you want to go or stay.. You change elevators, they follow... You go down to your hangar.....Can they shoot you in the back and have a 30 second snatch and grab spree?? The devs weren't very clear on if perps could shoot back in these hangars, or if it's just the owner who can.... If it's the former, yea, good luck.. if it's the latter, it honestly doesn't make much sense... I'd much rather they grt ported out instantly upon jumping on... OR, if they want to keep it realistic, they are met by armed guards as soon as the elevator opens, and are escorted back to the ASOP terminals.. if they resist, then it's a firefight that they will be hard pressed to win.. But all in all, I'd much rather see this 30 second count removed. It's not wrong that some players just want a peaceful place of solitude within the city... Everywhere doesn't have to be a PvP zone.
Log out, then come back on a different server. I think their will be a fair bit of feral activity from a contingent of lame fembots over the course of the patch, it'll get tames and they'll be clipped to some degree. I do think it might have something to do with encouraging group play, but yeah, i don't need a chaperone on a leash every time i need to go to my hangar. It might be best if you feel your being targeted, just log out, then come back on a different server, it does work as ive done it for various reasons many times. Can they steal your gear from the hangar though?
@@davewills6121 yea that's about all you can do is leave. Which tbh shouldn't have to be the case. From what I understand, if they come to your hangar and see sweet guns laying around, they can pick them up and stow them just like you can. So if they kill you, they have about 30 seconds to search your hangar before they're taken out... They SHOULD have a CS and come under fire back at the ASOP terminal area, but if they have buddies, they can just bail with them in another hangar I'd imagine. Gone goes your farmed loot. I had someone tell me to just bring security lol.. What? Just to go to my hangar??? I suspect it'll be as you anticipated. Pretty crappy at times until they clip the kids who are "bored" and looking for what they consider PvP.
Going to test this out in PTU, of course with friends not picking on anyone. It is a concern for sure to see how the control of neutral players in private hangars will be and party abuse situations... i.e. someone gets recruited to be a gunner so joins party then gets in the hangar and starts trolling, how long until they are removed after being kicked from party.
If someone manages to steal ''payed items'', not loot, do we know how the items will be recovered, or will the thief be unable to remove anything. This is off the top of my head...i don't have much to steal though?
@@RedJay awesome. Be sure they're not in your party, and if you decide to make a video on it, I'm all eyes and ears man. It's been something that I've been wondering since Evo.
Am enjoying 3.24 immensely, no real issues, does anyone know if ship paints should be available in 3.24, its not important, as paints can be finicky at the best of times. Nice flair
Carrack is a great ship and over time just keeps getting better, and that is not just a saying it is due to all the services it squeezes into a modular ship that also has a drone bay coming up. But modularity is a problem for the current Carrack in 3.24 - its cargo bays are where the modules get mounted, its essentially running cargo modules all the time with no other modules yet. The modules themselves also do not have working external access currently. So running cargo by 2-hand tractor beam through the ramp area into center doors leading to cargo is one option. Another I have to test is paying a small fee to have npcs auto load the ship but even if that is functional there is a real time wait component to load the ship even when it works
If you dont have a big personal hanger because you only bought a small starter pack and you buy a bigger ship in game, will you have to buy a bigger hanger in game as well?
ASOP terminals near hangar elevators and sides of hangar, but currently the vehicles at least at New Babbage are spawning in garages - just tested in tonights build still that same pattern.
Unfortunately documentation is still catching up - I have tons of dated info on Hangar Module but not in PU Hangars yet. If I do find a new source I will follow up on this post.
tried last night ended up with a hanger of every size... got kicked because there is still an AFK timer and nothing is persistent that you leave in the hanger...
Wave 1 is for if you’ve spent 25,000$ USD on Star Citizen, Wave 2 is for if you’ve spent 10k USD on Star Citizen so far!!! :) Wave 3 (which is me) is for if you’ve spent 5k USD on Star Citizen, Wave 4 is if you’ve spent 1,000-2,500$ USD on Star Citizen and Wave 5 is Open PTU :)
Both tiers of subscribers get Wave 1. You do need to copy your account to the PTU though, few minutes later you get PTU access in launcher. In your account settings on website, click copy account to test server - its lit up on left side.
