[3.24] The Ultimate Arc Lightning League Starter Build (Zero to Hero) - Path of Exile 

Will there be possible changes in the build in the next league? And if so, will the pob be updated? Amazing League Starter btw!

A small sidenote: Chris Wilson confirmed that the added mana cost of Archmage is applied early on for calculations. The intent is that you can reduce the mana cost through various mechanics that do so, such as Inspiration Support or the Hierophant notable passive. Means Archmage is back on the menu guys and stronger than ever, even in a league start scenario. :D

can you show a video of you taking a lot of damage?

I realy like that this guide doesn't rely on the new archamge changes or the new sacred wisps support, because there's still a lot of unknown about them. We get a solid build, that can play arround with those gems if they are good later, but works well even if they don't.

@@theofalasco1274 you will get most of the attacks so when you hit more than one you are dead

what do you see as a fix for this build, and do you know of the newest "Enki's arc" build? I wonder if it is still viable with the minion damage scaling.

@@Kernnunjust use ahk or automaton for ur arcane cloak and its fixed

@@Kernnun I've played Mjolnir Manabond with Arcane Cloak on right click and it's just fine. I see he uses Arc on his right click but I always have my primary attack on E.

@@xXDEUC35Xx you cant put guard skill on left click anymore in 3.24

Not even part of the build, you can manually trigger arcane cloak yourself and that would be waaay better (or link it with automation for similar result).

This guide is already made with this league in mind

This is a SC Trade league build, it need uniques to function after level 80

I usually release 1 PoB but newbies don't know how to navigate it so I decided to split it.

​@@PhoenixLive_YT I think most of the people who play POE1 nowdays are not complete newbies anymore. But what I see in many other YT guides is that the creator explains the POB shortly and how to navigate it (takes 30-60 seconds of the video and would help newbies to understand how to navigate, as it did for me in the past). Just a small suggestion, maybe for future guides. :) To my other question, any chance to get a early map and mid tier map POB with some gear suggestions for this part of the game?

In the POBs he listed above, he's not showing different POBs for different Acts ... the above POBs simply break down the Tree/Skills/Items per Act for beginners/new players (Zero To Hero series of builds). One of things Phoenix did omit from POBs (and will hopefully add to his new POBs) was to show what Items (helm, armor, gloves...) that should be specifically assigned to each Skill set. It was relatively easy to figure out, however, it would have saved some time and guess work (I'm still new to this game)... but thanks a million Phoenix for the effort and time you put into the build guide(s)! This detail really helps out new players (the more experienced players can simply ignore the extra details). What is confusing to me is the (Weapon 1) - (Weapon 2) dual-weld setup and layout... do you put the same skill gems in each wand, or what? It would seem you would need 4-socket wands for the skill gem layout shown in the POBs (and as far as I know you can't have a 4-socket wand...). Can someone please explain the correct skill gem layout for each wand?

Mana storm is quite heavy to run due to lack of mana regen, you are very likely to die soon after it procs. Ravenous passion is nice, it's more damage than what we are using but you will be missing out on defense

Use it to level gems, it's ineffective to put your curse in a CWDT setup because it will not proc when you need it the most.

i use it with winterbrand as an additional defensive layer

This build runs around as if it has 15k life and 5 perma endurance charges, that's about it.

Yes u just need flat elemental damage to do ailment, so lighting damage on spells will inflict shock

It's one slot and for one big aoe shot you use vaal or for more dmg. It will take a skill slot but nit extra gem slot

A relatively short while ago Vaal skills got an update. Now when you equip a vaal skill gem you also get access to the regular skill gem. So you don’t need to equip both. Just the vaal gem is enough

Nah I said they are optional, you can easily level without them.

There is nothing to update except maybe swap inspiration support for Archmage depending on damage numbers.

It took a while to make so patch notes weren’t out when that part was made.

No you can use the new version of vielded chaos orb to achieve the same exact result, in-fact the new orb is better and risk free.

@@PhoenixLive_YTand could be multiple to dozens of divines if it is rare enough whereas old veiled orbs were obtainable early. They are not the same at all.

Didn't overlook it, I will have a separate video with it showcasing the damage in full damage setup (I think we could hit 200M with Crackling Lance)

I really like the Arc skill by itself instead of Crackling lance. If I want to replace any support gem for new Archmage support then which one should it be?

Yes you can, unless you decided to run righteous fire too early.

Yes you need more regen.

We don't need those sockets for anything specific, just fill them with whatever gems you like.

You forgot our 5 Permenant endurance charges but to some extent yes, I never said this build is a tank, you are a self spellcaster so act like one and play it safe.

@@PhoenixLive_YT Indeed, I tweaked the build a bit to be closer to what you described and it got a lot better. So I have to say it was me not 100% following your recommendations

How is the survivability 2 weeks after?

10% pen is an optional upgrade, it is more damage than the regular 40% increase.

@@PhoenixLive_YT Wdym, 3-4 leagues back you've released video for Elementalist where you've played RF aswell. :D Exact same build. Ofc RF changes and so on. Anyway, i've already made it work with increasing max mana pool and mana regen. Replacing Inpulsa with Defiance and top roilling Foible. Also in terms of sustain against bosses, some portion of mana recoup works aswell.

Should replace inspiration in my opinion but we will have to wait and see new PoB numbers.

You can't use cloak with left click, link it with Automation instead.

You farm any league mechanic you want, save currency and start buying end game items 1 by 1, they are not expensive.

Well obviously because you are still low level :p

The adorned alongside all of our magic jewels are 2k mana, about 33% more defenses and 50% more damage.

Link it with the new automation gem instead

Automation's "cool-down" makes it feel clunky and slow with Arcane Cloak. We need an alternative to Automation.

Automation doesn't add any Cooldown at 20/20

We gained more mana and mana regen than previous version which means better defenses but it all depends on your playstyle.

Read our amulet. As for izaro you are not supposed to challenge the final labyrinth as early as possible, wait until level 80 or until you have all unique items.
