Where do you get the beginer guitar lessons ... I have bought a guitar and trying to learn but have no idea where to start I have tried online courses (fender play yousician simply guitar ect) but I honestly only want to play metal Megadeath Metallica Exodus Iron Maiden Pantera ect and I found this video and you are f**kin awesome

This is actually the best lesson I've ever had. Since a minor stroke, I've got limited feel and fine control of left hand, and took up guitar to try improving that.

@@jasonstallworth Seriously, this was some techniques I can actually do something with. I've got 2 Glarry's, an HH and HSH. I've done maybe 100 in upgrades on the HH and got hella sound from it, that I can now run with. I'm taking the HSH to work, for practicing there. It's a factory I have alone, on weekends. Debating on rewiring it, to get HH as a selection on it. Thumb and first 2 fingers working ok, but smaller two aren't "independent", and spreading them apart is still very tough.

I didn't pick this up the first time I watched the video, but the 1 4 fingering is a really cool way to work if you have shorter fingers. Less useful for jazz stuff when you need pinkies for 7ths etc, but really cool for shorter chords

Yeah, that's one of those things where you have to do what works for you. We're all a little different. I use both my 3rd and pinky fingers kinda sporadically. But it's just what I feel at the time...it starts to become instinct.

I have been playing AIR GUITAR since the 80’s but have never played an actual guitar. I just bought a Rhoads Jackson guitar and the BOSS Katana GO. I can make cool “NOISE”, but nothing else. Thanks for step 1🙏🏻

Don't ask me why I decided to pick up my 10yo electric guitar today instead of my electric bass... but here we are and I feel like I just got a reaaally good introduction into this instrument I never really learned. @@jasonstallworth as soon as I'm able to actually play my guitar again , I will order and dive into the course .. At the moment I'm breaking my head on music theory . Only thing I know is playing with the use of tabs and numbers and somehow that doesn't work for me. So I started a new adventure knowing and understanding the theory .

Yes, you can use any guitar. Just use your 7 string like a 6 string for this. And later apply the same concepts to the 7

I have plenty of videos on recording but none on mastering. I actually send my music off to be mastered in a separate studio (I want that 2nd pair of ears as well as catch things that I may not). Although Hetfield is known for his fast downstrokes, Metallica has plenty of alternate picking in their riffs (listen to the fast parts in Disposable Heroes, Dyer's Eve, and Fight Fire with Fire...and several others)
