Does taking cold showers have ur veins pop out. Not just temporarily but like you know what I mean if I have a pump or something will my veins pop out more
Another one I'd like to add is energy, hot showers can just make you tired and lower your energy but cold showers get you energized and prepared for the day. Great video, great suggestion, cold showers help me a ton.
Couldn’t agree more. When I used to take hot morning showers, I was always so groggy and even more tired. Now after taking cold showers, I’m so energised and ready to start the day
A tip for cold showers: When you first start the shower, make it as cold as possible and DO NOT touch the water to feel how cold it is. Just pretend it’s hot and jump in. Once you’re in the shower, control your breathing (it’ll feel like when you cried as a kid and couldn’t breath steadily) the important thing here is to just try and control your breathing the entire time. Also just accept the cold. Don’t fight if, it only makes it worse
WTF DO I DO BRO PEOPLE ARE GOING “100% DO NOT immediately start ice cold, it can cause heart problems. Always start slow!” AND NOW UR SAYING INSTANTLY START ICE COLD WHAT DO I BELIEVE 😭
@notafalconsfan7897 I'm 12 years old and got inspired to take cold showers by a different video. I started as cold as I could because I thought that's how to do it. I never put ice in the water, it is called a cold "shower" and not an "ice bath" And I'm not really sure if the normal shower can reach ice cold.
@@IThinkILikeWhenItRains1 The most mature 12 y o I’ve ever seen. But he just meant really cold when he said “ice cold” he was trying to stress the temperature of the water not the state of it. But yeah ice baths are also great if you can afford them.
@@IThinkILikeWhenItRains1 when I say ice cold, I don’t literally mean that the water is so cold that it turns into solid ice. It’s just a figure of speech, I was expressing my confusion since some people say to start as cold as possible yet others say it’s not good to, and also some people just have a different tolerance towards different temperatures, so yeah 🤷♀️
It’s also proven to help with your immune system. This is a good reminder, I keep thinking to myself I should start taking cold showers but never do. Gonna start tomorrow
I agree! Whenever I took hot or warm showers I always feel nauseous or dizzy whenever I got out.. with cold showers, I can see that I have more energy and I’ve tend to focus a lot more lately! Also my skin has been flawless ever since. I encourage people to start taking cold showers, but don’t start off too cold. Each time start at room temp then build up the cold factor until you feel ready to take a nice pure cold shower 👍🏼
@@itsnotjakey i am talking about if you have disease or just wanna do a ice bath with no cold water experience but for cold showers it is ok to go extreme at start but make sure that you dont risk your health if its too cold for you
@@itsnotjakeyBetter to start slowly, putting your arms and legs into the cold water first and then slowly your whole body. Eventually you will adjust to cold showers and be able to jump right in.
FIRST! And TYSM for your videos. You've changed me man, really. I've been taking cold showers for about 3 weeks now and I agree with what your saying. Dalati = 🐐
Same. I'm young and don't have any heart issues but it's seriously feels like my heart is being squeezed and I can't stand it. The pressure is unbearable. So what I do instead is lower the temp to just a little cold instead of freezing.
If you take a worn/hot shower during the night before you go to bed, you’ll see you have a better sleep rather than taking a cold shower because a warm/hot shower catch you nice warm and tired rather than a cold shower that hypes you up and makes you stay up longer
Cold showers are very stimulating but you do need the warm water to actually clean.. years ago they'd advise to go as cold as you could then as warm as you could and do that for the duration of the shower. That extremities give you a much larger boost (and you get clean)
If you don't feel like taking cold showers all the time, warm showers have some perks too such as opening your airways, unclogging your pores, and relaxing your muscles and reducing tension.
My friend asked me recently how can I be so calm in many stressfull situations in school. Say big tests etc. , I have showered in cold water for a year now and would have never thought it was the reason I was so calm .
yall if anyone wants to know if this works.. it does! literally, every time i take a shower i take a cold shower, at first i do warm and once i get used to take for a minute i make it colder and colder, my backne is basically gone!
Another reason why you should take cold showers: It helps with mental issues like depression and anxiety as studies have shown that during cold showers your body is creating endorphins which boosts your mood, energizes you and decreases your anxiety levels.
cold showers also reduce muscle soreness it’s been super useful for me while using them lately as my muscles have been pretty sore from training hard in my sports all day
My 3 reasons are better recovery after gym, better mental toughness makes you better at doing things you don’t want to do initially, and close the pores after a warm shower
I would personally say something different depending when your taking the shower. I’d it’s in the morning then take a cold shower because it’s wakes you up and gives you energy and helps you focus and at night I would take a hot one to relax and be able to sleep easier.
@@sweettea1193when you do this make sure you start it at cool water than make your way up to cold because a rapid change from hot to cold can get you very sick and can cause you to pass out
There are lots of benefits to cold showers, however one disadvantage is that you loose lactic acid wich is basically the thing that makes muscle growth. That’s why another benefit to cold showers is that it gets rid of muscle soreness because it’s abstracting all of the lactic acid.
If you shower before then take a hot shower if it's in the morning then take a cold shower, they each have their benefits all that matters is the time at which you take your shower
Heres 3 benefits of remembering the bad being negative 1 you lose your job 2 you realise others someone is better than you 3 you tend to listen afterwards
The reduced stress is because after a cold shower you will get 2.5x the dopamine of an average state.Tho similar to cocaine release of dopamine cold showers keep the dopamine for a while but cocaine is a sudden spike
Low key I took cold showers for almost 6 months the only change I noticed was the immediate effect of feeling good after it. Didn’t notice anything else
Here’s my pov at night I take hot showers to help me fall asleep and if I really need it I will take military showers in the morning. 30 seconds of cold water then brush my teeth. Then 30 seconds of cold water then skin care routine/wash face. Then stay in the cold shower for 1 minute while warming up your joints. Then now your energized and ready to workout and train
Here’s something I’ve been doing to take cold showers: gradually lower the temperature of the water every week so I’m not automatically starting off freezing my body and I can slowly adjust to the cold water.
How cold is too cold tho. Like cold enough to notice it's cold or cold enough that my muscles start to spasm. My shower gets like stupid cold so idk. Edit: so I just took a shower. I've tried cold showers before on the coldest setting and its just pain. So I got it with it started on a decent cold and it was impossible. I couldn't force my body to get in. So I started with room temperature water, and worked my way down untill I couldn't anymore. And holy shit. I feel so refreshed, I had some muscle soreness...gone. headache...gone. tiredness...gone. I just rinsed too, so the fact I feel so fresh is kinda wiered. It's worth the hype.
For me I usually take cold showers before school but after school I take hot showers, I only take cold showers if I need energy but hot showers if I need to relax
Keep in mind that you physically won’t be as clean as with a hot shower. If you don’t use warm/hot water your pores will not be cleaned as well compared to if you start a shower hot or warm. Best practice is to physically wash and scrub with warm or hot water and finish off with cold/ice cold exposure to finish in my experience. Not to mention to actually harness the metabolic benefits of cold exposure one should leg themselves air dry and not use a towel post cold exposure
But what about outside temperarure? Like are you still supposed to take a cold shower even if its too cold weather. And also at what level? Turning the tap complete towards cold or what?
Cold showers are the type of shower I do not recommend at all. Here's why: Basically, hot showers can lower the blood pressure, make it easy to sleep, etc. Meanwhile, cold showers can cause a heart attack if taken every day.
I ain’t never takin cold showers at night again I was too aware I heard the tv on 5 volume and it scared me and even the slightest of noises scared me💀
i’ve heard that cold showers after a workout are actually bad for ur muscle growth since the cold water constricts ur body and slows everything down cold water also closes ur pores which isn’t good for when you’re trying to clean them out i start off warm to clean off my body and then switch to cold if i’m wrong please explain
