When unicentro opened back in the 90s, the top floor near the movie theater was a huge arcade. Spent a lot of time there, good times.

Yeah, spoke to my mom, who lives in Southern California, and she told me the same thing. I wonder if it’s all the online shopping that has ruined retail brick and mortar in the US.

Online shopping hasn't hit Colombia the same because you can't recieve you order in just 2 days and many vendors won't ship outside of the US

El Tesoro all the way. Went there in feb and was blown away with hiw muvh stuff it has. That outdoor view it has conecting one part of the mall to the other is awesome.

I have a soft spot in my heart for Unicentro, because I spent so much time there and lived less than five walking minutes away. Other than that I like Oviedo for the architecture and feel. Very old school with vegetation inside and around it, awesome (the shops lacking a bit though). Santa Fé lacks character, but has the best shopping experience. Tesoro is nice as well, from another time.

I believe the Puerto de; Norte Mall is the closest to a metro station, however it is at the northern most stop on the Metro. It is not as high end as Santa Fe, closer to Unicentro. I believe it is the only large mall with a Home Center.

That food court in the successful mall with 70 eateries the santa fe mall obviously is just the PLACE to be. Your view of the third mall is definitely UPSCALE NEIGHBORHOOD..

I think El Tesoro probably has the most high end shops as opposed to all the rest. As you said, I’m not sure prices are any more expensive there in the same stores, but it is definitely the most high end of all the malls in Medellin.

GShock watches alone go for as low as 80 bucks, and and high as $5000 dollars..... I didn't really find the low dollar ones at the Casio store in El Tesoro. Most of those watches in that store were like 10 million pesos... 15 million, and up. You do the math. Literal El Tesoro es pa' millonarios parce.

El Tesoro is my favorite as well. For the reasons you mentioned but most importantly because its an open air mall with fantastic views. Sante Fe has a lot to offer, they got a fun bowling alley on top floor, but I feel like Medellin is best enjoyed for its beauty outdoors. You can see more greenery when you are at El Tesoro.

Malls in America are pretty much on the downslope....but I went with a friend to some Mall in Envigado...i was like man, Malls are alive and well here.

Parce, but doesn't it happen with Exito? Isnt he Exito on Calle 10 for example pricier than going to one in say, Suramericana?
