I don't understand why dentists don't tell ppl Partials with the little clasps RUIN the teeth they are clasped onto!!! the adjoining teeth are 9/10 RUINED by the clasps! and Dentists never seem to mention this, but they know it very well!
@taylorsara1237 Have you gone to a lot of different dentist and none of them mentioned that? When I was looking at my options the dentist I saw was extremely informative and did mention the pros and cons of the partials. Maybe you weren’t paying attention…
Option 4. "Maryland Bridge"......this is a single tooth replacement where it is not required to grind down and crown healthy teeth adjacent to the replacement tooth, in this procedure the single porcelain tooth has a " wing" or "tab" that enables it to be bonded the rear of one of the adjacent teeth , it works well on front single teeth, not really that good for molars but if you have a front single tooth missing , especially one of the front upper four teeth missing, it is a good option.
40 year Dental Lab Tech and have to say I made many a Maryland Bridge and though it requires 2 etched tabs for insertion, it will save a patients good adjoining teeth and fill in a gap or area where a tooth is missing. I prefer a posterior bridge rather than anterior but have always loved the Maryland Bridge
@@JaymeCordellArmstrong I have two Maryland bridges, the lateral incisors on each side, each bridge is attached with one etched tab attached to each canine, there is no tab attached to the front incisor , so just the one tab on each bridge, the tab is made of porcelain too, i did have a previous bridge that had two metal tabs, one tab attached to the adjoining canine and one tab onto the front incisor, when that was replaced and I also required a bridge on the other side my dentist said one tab would be enough to hold them on. The bridges feel extremely solid, and of course I'm careful what I bite into as I don't want to break them, so far they have been good , I've had them about 4 years.
Almost all the people I know regret getting implants. It gets loose after a few years and because they drill a hole in your jaw bone it’s super damaging and sometimes causes cancer. I don’t want to pay thousands for something that doesn’t work. I wish there were more options, I have tmj because of my missing tooth :(

I'm down 6 molars. I have s partial that covers 4 but my tongue gets stuck on it all the time and I can't eat or chew very well. I want implants but can't afford them. I have two bridges as well.
Ugh I'm stuck doing nothing til my dentist appointment. Had to see family, an ex with his newer model,and gave up chilling with rock stars back in jerz, enough humiliation in this lifetime! Going to perfect smiles at Amazon. They'll be here in 2 days, and guess I can hold onto my insurance until I'm way older lol! Going without doesn't have to be your only option ..
