What Jay-Z did with Ace of Spades is literally what 95% of all commercially successful alcohol brands are doing. Patron, Crown Royal, Jack Daniel's, Ciroc, Grey Goose, etc. All of them are making below average products, spending millions on advertising that make everyone believe they're selling quality products, and trick people into buying trash for 500% more than it's worth.
True, it's just funny how many times he's sold his dumb fans shit products and still got away with it and everyone loves him. Celebrities do not care about their fans in the slightest usually. Logan Paul's picking up the mantle now.
@@michaelturley3457 I mean... that's just capitalism. Virtually every single name brand product is sold at a much higher price than it's worth because the general public is ultimately influenced by popularity and familiarity. A white t-shirt can be worth $5, but if the tag on the collar has Louis Vuitton on it, the t-shirt now costs $150 Celebrities like Jay-Z, Ryan Reynolds, The Rock, etc.... they're just taking advantage of the same system. Don't be mad at them. Be mad at all the people who blindly fall for the same shit.
Nah, I'm going to be mad at the celebrities just like the companies that did it before them. But yeah, the customers are culpable too. It's just funny because his name is linked to luxury and he sells shit, kinda like Trump before he became a politician. He was notorious for always selling shit too. @@JaydenLand
1. Great integrated promotion ✅ 2. Hilarious one liners ✅ 3. Informative video ✅ 4. Pewdiepie reference ✅ I dont know what you were doing before RU-vid but you definalty belong here! Huge fan, keep it up G.
The thing about the champagne tho, it's not about how it tastes, it's about how much it costs. People only bought Crystal to flex on others and they do the same with Ace of Spades. So I don't blame Jay-Z for taking their money, if they spend like that, that's on them.
People make it seem like he was trying to sell overpriced baby formula or something necessary like that. The only thing these people were doing is trying to rub their money in other people's faces.
1. Owning his music and label since day one. Capitalizing of records sales and signing other artist. 2.Over 300 million in fashion .Liquor ECT. 3.sold roca fella records and roca wear for millions after its success . Not including most recent of many investments.
Yea also his NFL deal and roc nation sports plus the other smaller investments. His music is nice his business mind is amazing how can you hate this black nan
@The Black Car Guy Jay owns 1\3 of the publishing (masters) for Reasonable Doubt. Dame owns 1/3 and Biggs owns 1/3. They were equal partners in Roc-a-fella Inc when the album was made. Jay created an LLC a few years back and transferred his 1/3 to that LLC for tax purposes. He wanted to buy Dame and Biggs third but neither wanted to sell their share to him.
I really don’t see how he “finessed” though! He’s a very smart businessman! He did what every top white businessman in every genre has been doing since day 1!
Lane Mouth he black he well never be in they club he a pawn think the nets Brooklyn/New Jersey, Barclays Center and the nfl have all used him to get to blacks hip hop fans and people who just know Jay-Z ya he getting paid but he will never make as much money as the people using him as a face making y’all think he owns a team or some shit when he don’t nor does he own a as large of a percentage as people think he does 🤷🏾♂️
PlanBneverFails sounds like hating to me. let’s see you or any other black man publicly be in the billionaire circle. until you’re there or doing any kind of big business on your own. then talk shit.
Are you serious. What does he know about rap or the black community to need a show? It’s so crazy how everybody wants to be black but claim they don’t want to be 😂
Relax foo you don't see mexicans tripping on yg for him being in a outfit mariachi but imagine if mexican dude wore traditional African clothes im sure he wouldn't hear the end of it
Esrar & Co. where does he say he wants to be black? And clearly he know a hell of a lot about rap to have a successful show on RU-vid centered around it.
@@WePaintHouses101 he never said he did not claim he doesn't wanna be. He knows more about rap than most black people because he does his research, and corrects it if he's wrong. Research don't got a race LMAO. not every nigga even know rap.
Its funny When black people do rap U guys act like its a disease. But a white boy does some dead rap Now you like rap music. Stick to classical music George
The same thing J did with Ace of Spades, a German entrepreneur did with Grey Goose vodka. He bought the company outright, doubled the price, sent it to all the cool clubs in the States for free to get used all the time with rich customers and the rest is history.
I love Hov, but I think Tidal would've done fine or better without being taken over by a non tech based investor like Jay. Tidal was focused on a niche of Audiophiles who value higher resolution music and were ready to pay double the normal streaming rates for it, but they've mostly neglected the core buyer of Tidal since.
First you flex with the Dyson, now you flex with your Supreme cash cannon. You know its gotta be from the original drop and not a knock off because Trap Lore Ross owns it 🤑
I buy lots of real supreme, but Ross made the correct choice here. The real gun isn’t anything different quality-wise. So... it’s a clout thing. Cuz the actual money gun sucks. One of supremes worst items in years.
@you know Ehh plz .let's reference fans opposed to followers( as we aren't Just walking around like a sleeping herd of sheep) . and do yourself a huge favor get that HATE outta ya life... stay away from making hurtful unsupported OVERLY generalized statements about the Morality of ANY individual... unless You yourself are the one and only TRUE AND LIVING GOD ... the mere act of making unfounded ,unsupported, comments like that come down as JUDGEMENTAL... ONLY God Can judge ... anything else is HYPOCRISY
Have to say I always find you-tubers and their sponsors is an everyday evil we have to bare so they can make content, but, even if I could skip the swag-bucks thing I wouldn't have. Going to sign up to support even though I wont have time to do a survey!
Bro i have so much respect to the time and effort you spend on every video, always a joy watching your videos and I can happily say i have seen every single one
thanx for all these cool histories...also thanx for taking the torch from the Akademics era...we need more analysis of the past to move forward into a new positive hiphop era
David Abreu all the time bro, this dude did a cheesy ass rap video, he’s a culture vulture, so many shady billionaires he could of exposed but he chose Jay Z.
