Thank you Becca, I’ve had some of these mistakes doing the drills so this was really helpful to make me aware of my pen hold and angle and most importantly to slow down x
Really amazing!these three problems are the ones that are really annoying for beginners..and kudos to you for helping them with such brilliant solutions 😃❤️ one of the most helpful video I ever found on improving calligraphy!🙌💯
This video was so helpful! Guilty of gap top, but it was getting nastily difficult for me to determine what was going wrong😅 thank you so much for these useful tips! Much appreciated!💕
OMG! OMG! I almost gave up getting into calligraphy because of the pesky tip flip! I could never fix it. This video saved my new hobby from the trash bin!
Your videos are always so helpful. I have learned so much more in the last month of watching your videos than in three decades of using books to learn calligraphy and lettering. This video is a perfect example that demonstrates problems that can occur and how to correct them, really love your teaching style. I just downloaded your Guide to get the proper materials. Once set up I will go back to your beginners videos because I pretty much have been doing everything wrong lol! Should be interesting for this old sea dog to unlearn bad skills. Thanks again
I binged most of the videos of your beginners Playlist today with this being the last video. I kept struggling with the tip flip so much when I was practicing the oval basic strokes. Should have watched this video earlier on haha. This really helped a lot!
Thank you so much for this video. i was literally facing these three issues all the time. Its been just 3 days since i started learning and your videos are very helpful.
Is it a good idea to use the brush pens on wood, or other mediums?? I would imagine plastic and glass would be okay, but wood (sanded), is what I am more concerned about. Thanks for your wonderful tutorials. 😊
You are my go-to to learn new things! You are a great teacher and fabulous artist. Love your videos! I hope you can help me with this issue: While coloring a card with tombow dual brush pens I used way too much color and is too dark. Is there a way to fix this problem? Thanks ❤️ Cheryl
Hi! New hand letterer here. With reference to the "tip flip" issue: I'm a lefty- would the 45 degree angle of the pen held in the opposite direction still work? I'm concerned I won't be able to do the same if the pen is angled out to the left while yours is to the right! Thanks :)
as a left hander, I can't make any of these mistakes.. like literally I tried making an oval with a gap top or a tip flip and I literally could NOT. then I tried with my right hand.. it was a bit (a lot) wobbly but I was able to get a gap top no prob
Newbie here. Not alot of choices for brush pen here in a small island from the Philippines. I grabbed whatever brush pen I could get. The problem I got is this very very soft brush pen, that's really hard to do the strokes with correctly. Any tips? Please.....I really want to learn how to do calligraphy.
mungkin kertas yg mba pake kurang halus? kalo HVS gitu kurang disarankan buat brush pen, apalagi kalo ujung brush pennya kyk Sakura Koi atau Tombow ka (I'm pretty confident that you're Indonesian😃)
@@syafiqahs9353 omg, I'm sorry😂! Anyway Becca also made a video about best paper for calligraphy. I'm a beginner myself and this video helps a lot! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mfZTBikQOJw.html
