I just watched your tutorial on skill share and went youtube to do more things with tombows. I have been using them since before they where huge hit. For my birthday i'm getting the 108 set. (didnt even know they had sets that big. I'm really excited to get more colors and learn. Your video on skillshare and this one has really helped me learn more! Thank you Sarah!

Hello and thank you for beautiful videos. I am a beginner. Please tell me what I do wrong, my brush pens sort of get stuck on the up-down corner to the left! So, on starting the a or the g. The tip is quite soft and can not make the corner fluently! Hope you understand. Thank you!

I think these are best for lettering and not for coloring I purchased quite a few sets very pricey and lots of them dried out fast a bit disappointed in them but will use them till they dry out

I just bought the Tombow pastel dual brush pens and I am having a hard time using them. The colors are so light and I'm not sure if I want to buy any more colors. They don't blend well when you directly apply them to the watercolor paper and the paper starts to fall apart as I try to blend with water. I really wanted watercolor tools without having to bring my chalk watercolor trays. I bought these for artwork and not writing. I'll try your methods and see how they work on different paper. Thanks for the video. It was really well made and very clear to understand.

I hope this helps! You’ll have to let me know! It is possible that the pastel pens don’t have vibrant enough ink to be able to mix with water. Before giving up, I would try some brighter or darker colors! I don’t have the pastel set though!

What brand of water brush are you using to blend faux calligraphy. It has such a fine tip.

I use two fine waterbrushes- either Pentel aquash or the Kuretake waterbrush. I really like the fine size for small details like this!

Not all paper is good for blending! That could also be why your pens don’t seem as juicy. Paper matters. I like bristol smooth paper for blending. I have a longer video on that!

That’s tricky! One really important thing is what paper you’re using! My favorite for blending is smooth bristol or watercolor paper. Also it takes time to experiment with what blends work for you. If you try to blend two complimentary colors (like blue and orange) they’ll turn brown!

Hiền Minh Võ I think it’s 055, which Is like a yellow yellow. But it could also be 025, which is like an orange yellow. I’m pretty sure it’s 055 tho.

That’s a tough question! Those are the two packs I love the most so both? 😂 I personally love rainbow colors the most and galaxy second but that’s just me!

Why spend a lot of money for Tombow brushes if you end up using them like watercolors (requiring a palette, water, brush etc. You can get amazing watercolors in a large assortment for less money. I just dont get it.
