the biggest mistake is not taking every single rare talent you see. since u cna turn rare talents into commons but not the other way around and if you miss a good rare talent might as well wipe
@@ZachScared you can combine cards to make mantras. if you combine a common and rare, you can go to a shrine and unroll that mantra to make two commons
2:25 Boons and Flaws were tested by Simon on his tier list video for the subject in hand. Steadfast has a armor durability increase of 33%. If it was stacked armor conserver it raised to 48%. Granted there are ways to completely ignore armor via PEN. The ability to prevent any scrapsinger (or any ironsing user) from getting any buffs on you from exposed durability (and other talents that benefit off of no armor) AND retaining your armor for much longer in ganks or diluvian makes Steadfast the best boon by a LONGSHOT as other boons are situationally good or downright terrible. Boons and Flaws need a severe rework to have a bigger impact on build making similar to Steadfast so there is more of a reason to picking said boons or flaws.
@@jordanelder316thank you for the video and source but this also has some issues. like he doesn’t actually show any percent values or a side by side comparison so it’s hard to tell exactly. although I do think the difference when he showed before and after is definitely noticable
Steadfast gives a 25% reduction, which paired with armor conserver’s 15% gives you a total of 40% armor res, which makes all ironsing and metal enchant builds so much easier to fight since your armor is practically unbreakable.
i usually take more mantras than i needed because i might not get the perfect mantras i need, so at the end i have 2 useless mantra to reroll and get a mantra you need
In my opinion, the best way to get the mantra, compassion, curiosity, and bravery quests are to go to vigils and talk to the sword, then get the library quest and leave a guild base or something at vigils, then go to upper erisia and do the sharko quest, then go to minitersia and do curiosity book quest, and then go to etria and finish the compassion and mantra quest by tping back to vigils. I personally like to go and do the bravery quest for 1 extra knowledge, because sometimes it just comes in handy and at that point i would normaly have hive tp anyway. Also with the new hive tps being made this can probably be done even faster now.
Or, you could go to vigils, talk to the sword, grab the library quest, then go to upper erisia and do sharko quest AND kill golems for embers (or just keep embers when u prog) and the go to etris and finish the iji nanji quest and pleeksty's will
about the flaws , ive never used simple ... i always go for vegetarian and obvious , with the only exception when i get dephs prog / pve build so i can get carnivore , obvious doesn't change anything on pvp , and vegetarian cuz i pretty much always eat soup so it doesn't change anything at all for me.
i find simple horrible to prog with because it's so slow to level up at higher powers. i simply just use manic and go 1 boon because there's really only 1 boon you want
untrue, ive used it and not used it and the difference in total is 2 more dukes, which is only 5-6 more minutes of grinding, and there arent only 1 boon you want, steadfast is insanely good for fighting scrapsinger/metal/long fights and scrapper is good for aces while progressing
Another thing on Steadfast, it's also considered the best PVE boon, unless berserker m1 PVE builds have changed that. I also don't care too much about optimizing my builds but, its usually more fun to play on an optimized build due to the fact you aren't dying every 3 seconds lol
I always do everything on the list except getting simple, I still go steadfast on all my builds. The flaws I pick are obvious and squeamish which did not cause any problems for me when I progressed my build. Obvious is mostly a Pve issue (but I run Pvp) and Squemish does not really have an impact on me because I pick carnivore on all my builds.
For deepbound progression the most important flaws are manic and squeamish because they’re basically nullified by castle light not letting you go insane and obviously going carnivore on a pve build. i honestly prefer faster progression over useful boons so I usually go maverick and autodidact but the best boons are probably steadfast and survivalist
@@Pal62I watched the video and it has some evidence but I don’t rlly think it’s good enough. If u look in the comments of that vid there are lots of good counter arguments so can’t really conclude anything yet
the problem with the boons and flaws depend on your build, i never go simple i dont like it but also the other flaws have little effect, manic is actually good in some cases and deficient is really good if youre going silentheart, it just depends what build youre going
@@thatguyoverthere3362 no, it has no effect on overflowing because youll be full anyways, and also ardour scream cancels out overflowing anyways, and you also just have engage, you arent using ardour scream every second so it shouldnt be difficult getting your ether back to use it again, and i know this because i get deficient on my silenthearts with both ardour scream and overflowing
Me personally I found that getting the 3 extra talents is most useful just before you power up to shrine of order since it increases the chances of you getting any missing talents
you can also do ministry Aces quest for aces and a talent hand. you can do the legions quest in erisia for a talent hand. you can do the clear muddskippers quest in song seeker for the bombs AND a talent hand, pretty sure thresher scales quuest in hive also gives always. this is only if u can level up after doing the quest
U missed that on some builds. Like maybe a silent heart build. U can take deficient and manic and they will help u instead of making the game harder. + taking blind on any blindsear build. Squeamish or gluttony or vegetarian if u are going carnivore.
-Vegetarian and carnivore don’t work together -blind on blindseer is actually impossible (unless gremor) -manic is terrible for silent heart unless your a ganyemede
this is true but even here I’d say simple is still better. like for the sh part, deficient is still a bad thing for you’re build if your using ardour scream or fighting a shadow user (less consistent overflowing dam) and manic you can reroll for on your extra flaw from shrine of order
all of them have some sort of purpose except like sly so I wouldn't say so. but imo stick to the long-term benefit ones like steadfast gourmet survivalist packmule if you're trying to make a good build to keep for a while, otherwise just go with whatever you like
Autodidact and maverick are both garbage. Maverick barely increases exp gain, and autodidact is literally useless because you still need event exp. I recommend going scrapper and steadfast
@@snekksuperior autodidact is quite helpful since the points build up and you get to avoid getting attribute exp. You also get to just skip leveling up at power 20 since you can just spend 15 points from autodidact
I literally always do shrine of order and i always have the simple flaw on. What are you talking about? Shrine of order only works, when your above power 8/10 and don't have an oath.
Can you explain if theres any special requirements for those talent hand quests besides the 55 charisma? I tried many various ones (besides the karliah quest) and the only one that worked for me was the gale stone quest, even though ive got the messaged such as "youve shown compassion and grown from it", this issue is constant along all of my builds
well one thing is that you only get the talent hand once you’ve leveled up, so if you’re not max level maybe that’s why you haven’t noticed it working yet. If you are max lvl tho you do just get the talent hand immediately
@@SpidersDW I never thought of that... ill do some testing someday and hopefully remember to come back and fact check it for all future purposes, thanks spiders!
The flaws that don’t impact builds are simple, deficient (bugged rn), obvious, manic (sanity decrease of like 25), squeamish (if you ain’t taking carnivore in your build you selling) and fugitive (jus do some rep quest and then it no longer affects you
Idk if the id is confusing but using deepwoken builder is there anyway to know how many points you’ll have after using shrine of order, or is there anyway to know how much your stats will increase after using shrine of order
yeah there should be a button near the bottom called “shrine of order” just click that and itll rearrange your stats as if you used the SoO and then you can continue from there
