@@randada1 no worries just use your CLI router commands for bgp and see what state it is stuck in. All it really can be is an AS number mismatch or you're not selecting your routes to advertise. Don't forget that the fortigate does not advertise any routes without you first declaring them. Also the log files are extremely helpful as long as you have system events being logged. They might even say right there what's the problem was.
@@DevinAdams fixed it! Had to do with the network-import-check being enabled on the Hub. After i tested with it disabled, I went back to enable it and advertised the loopback IP i was using for the simulation and it's being advertised right now.
Hi Devin, try "set net-device enable" after you have entered the other commands. The order of commands in the guides does not work with all of the commands. I have not had time to work out which of the commands was required before this one.
so the guide is really convoluted when it comes to which commands to leave in order to leave out depending on what version of FortiOS you are running. If it's doesn't allow you to put in the commands, follow the other fortiOS version of the guide. Which essentially makes you do the point-to-point connections for the VPN tunnels.
Hi Mr. Devin, where I can download Fortinet Instructure lab? On January I was visited NSE institute website and find some menu that contais all NSE VM LAB including Fortinet DEVICE LAB and VM SERVER for NSE 4, 5, 6 ,7 labs. I have downloaded NSE 6 Fortiweb, fortiadc, and fortimail lab (File size 17.4 GB including instructor guide) . But after a few days, the menu disappear.
Those resources are usually only available for fortnet instructors. I'm impressed that you stumbled across them and I'm pretty sure it was a fluke. If you don't think it was though, you'll have to contact their support and explain the issue. I've had to do this myself as an instructor more than once because of some kind of back-end web site issue. the books for the labs and the courses are actually hosted by a third party and they are controlled by DRM software. As for the resource that I'm using to do this video guide, that was found in their knowledge base documentation library. I hope that helps.
