I'm glad you are back, sir. I did really miss your videos. Another great video, this is something I've been debating for a while.... I am currently using 2in on my keg and was thinking of upgrading to 4in. There are more attachments in a 4in size for what I want to do at this point, and this video is having me wanting to bite the bullet and just get it done!
@@whiskeywookie2758 one of the admins in our Moonshine For Beginners group runs a 4" column on a keg. He seems to love it. I bet you won't be disappointed. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks for demonstrating Cyrus; seems like 3” really does make a difference! I’ve been debating upgrading for about two years but you’ve convinced me 😄 another project to add to the ever growing list 🥳
@@HillbillyGlassBarrels-gx7hw I know, dad gum it. Sorry I goofed it🥴. I'll have a video coming out about it in a few weeks. How long do you normally age with them.
@@StillnTheClear I typically age whiskey for about 3 months and 2 months or so I'll check on brandy and it's usually about where I want I have spoke to some people who are happy with what it does in about 3 weeks I just like my stuff even if it's clear to be 2 or 3 months old I feel like it makes a better product
Good video Cyrus. Yes, I'm still alive. Lol Since my "accident" I haven't been doing any runs. Not being able to taste or smell really puts a damper on all the fun.
Loving the hair growth, Cyrus! Glad you're loving the unit, glad we could provide it to you! It's kind of crazy just how fast your run can change from 2" to 3". Any plans to infuse in that unit? Would love to see some crazy infusions from you. Thanks for your review!
@@milehidistilling1 thank you so much. I think it is great. I do have some other plans for it. I want to see if I can make 2 stripping runs and a 1 and a half run in an 8 hour stretch. I haven't thought about the infusion side of it yet, but it's certainly something to try.
Great video! You mentioned using copper mesh, How much did you use? Only asking because if the fast run time... I run the exact still , but on electric..
On this particular run I did not use any mesh. I had no packing at all in the column. When I do run mesh I only use one loose roll in the column at the top just below the deflagmater.
@@StillnTheClear Nice, Thank's for that bit of info... Was asking about the copper because, I often run with 5 rolls about 10 foot long each... My Distillates have often been called Smooth...
