In the 70s, I remember a friend who had amazing custom paintings on his car. It was done by Fat Kats of Florida. It looked like car tattoos.

One thing I know will happen with all the new technology.. The old ways will be lost.

what? i did it in the 30's for italian mafia out of kentucky. not the fried chicken.

This is the type of stuff that made me want to paint... crushing up beer bottles and abalone shells for flake and pearls. Amazing stuff...

@@TimeWarpCustomPaint cool effects but totally wouldn't have thought to use tinfoil or glue on a car does it make the paint come off/rust out? first time seeing how it's done i though 💭 i was air brushed on not glued on and sprayed over sorry sometimes i look at higher end custom painters and wonder if they liked K-6 the most and or art project assignments there teacher 👩‍🏫 gave them aka cool 😎 glitter ✨ effect but so feels wrong like a hack/janky but i love it 🤓😍not sure how you guys come up with wacky ideas to try but sometimes it works, PS not a body guy but i have met quite a few, im on the other side fixing engines and hoping them up and other go fast bits or working on industrial plant equipment = boring to most people

@@TimeWarpCustomPaint How do I push the aluminum foil down onto the panel without pushing the design flat ? Before locking it down with clear.

How do you press the foil it into the size without disturbing the pressed design?

Can always use a towel as a medium and use a piece of cardboard to flatten it down on the surface so that you do minimal affects to the design.

A hairdryer on high no heat? I'm going to try this on a paint job I'm going to do this month. It'll be on my channel if you're interested. Edit after playing with the foil a bit I found a soft 3" house paint brush works nice to apply pressure to the foil without disturbing the impression.

Never had a problem the sizing glue and clear locks it in. the foil holds its shape that is if you do it right.

Try the spi euro clear, it’s thick as hell. U have to reduce it 1 up to 3 parts if u want to stretch it, Very very thick stuff good for burying lines
