An absolutely beautifully filmed video....the music, the scenery and everything was just great! I'm glad one oh my late night youtube searches paid off
“Take me to the lakes, where all the poets went to die I don't belong and, my beloved, neither do you Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry I'm setting off, but not without my muse” Taylor Swift
Such a beautiful place! I love the old english houses :P My favorite place in the UK are the scottish highlands and the outer hebrides! If i would live in the UK i would try to go every year.. but from germany its a bit far :P Love your videos Shu!
Thanks Carolyn! The houses are so quaint as beautifully built, aren’t they?! The highlands have been on my list forever! Would love to go and see it! 😍
2:59 onwards. Castlerigg was constructed about 3,200 BC and so is over 5,000 years old rather than being 4,000 years. Stonehenge was constructed between 3,000BC and 2,000BC and so is older than 2,900 years.
Really enjoyed this video, I love the way you film! 😍Looks like you had a great time. A little question if I may, where did you get your jacket from, I’m looking for one like this 😁
The Grasmere Gingerbread shop does accept card LOL IDK WHY I'M POINTING THAT OUT But beautiful cinematography I love the lake district! Visited it every year for 26 years.
Love from Ontario, Canada! We were watching this awesome video on our TV's youtube feature in the morning! We, husband and wife, will be in the UK in late September 2022 and want to be in this national park. Rabbie's tours look good to us. We are sure this may be too far back in time for you, but would still like to know if you can guide us. When we take a 3 day tour from London, do we arrange our overnight accommodations ourselves and how do we coordinate with the Rabbie's tour itinerary.

Agree with Vanessa on the last comment, very well filmed and presented, Shu. Your enthusiasm and happiness streams out of the video! May I ask which editing package you use, as my wife is interested in learning how to do these videos. Thanks in anticipation for your help. Happy travels.
Perfect bit of insight for our planned trip to the Lake District! Can't wait for lockdown to lift so we can get back to exploring - a great video by the way!
Hi Shu first time viewing this video, long time since I have been to the lakes, delightful relaxing, fun, and you always shine through, I thought this was really lovely well done as always, the views, music great job!!
Shu this is such a gorgeous vlog. Glad I found you, this is helping me prepare for my trip to the lake district next week! I'll be sure to check your other videos now too. :)
@@Brian-om2hh yeah it was great. Climbed Helvellyn and saw many other places there such as Aira Force Waterfalls and was driving a motorboat on Windermere.
Hey Shu, this was a lovely video. Can you tell me which month did you travel in? I am planning to go there in 2nd week of December and not sure if it will be as pristine and clear as this one?
Thank you so much, Anna!! Yesss have a look! I loved visiting there - very different to my recent city trips and it was amazing to be able to spend a few days by nature and completely switch off! ☺️
The stones originated from ireland. It was away to show respect to the dead. The sun wasthe mains source oflight after each passing night hence it all the stones wereplaced high up on a hills. Some used woodensticks to build a shrine others used stones as u see here. But yes they originsted from ireland and made their way the cou try via war. N so fourth. Greetings from bangladesh. Woohoooo
Get onto the M6, then you turn off at M6 junction 36. You are then just about 25 minutes from Windermere. Bring waterproof clothing, because in the Lakes we get Winter followed by 6 months of bad weather... Keep away from hotels unless you're loaded. Better to book one of the log cabins at one of the holiday parks. Should take no more than 5 or 6 hours from London... Living here, I think the best time to come is the Autumn. It isn't as busy, but the scenery is still spectacular.... Do a search for Lake District National Park......
I live in the lakes, usually when anyone as famous as her turns up we get to hear about it. Tom Cruise and Kidman kept it very low profile when they came. She may have been, I've just never heard of anyone mention it.
