The women is singing in german. She says: "good soldier, die with me, die with me." Its called "brav soldat" which does not mean "brave" it means "good" or "obedient". And its grammaticly actually incorrect. "Braver Soldat" would be correct. "Brav" is the infinitive of the adjective. And the women sings with a very harsh accent. It took me years myself to discover that this is supposed to be german lol
Banzai was an amazing map, I still vividly remember the summer of 2009 when the DLC was released; My cousin stayed over and we would literally stay up until 6am, wake up around 2pm and repeat for weeks at a time. It might have been a waste of time to most people, but it was one of the best memories of my life.

This years MWIII has a similar continuity error. On Das Haus you can see Highrise from back left yellow spawn, but on Highrise you can’t see Das Haus because it wasn’t retroactively added to be under construction.
Too big. Now all they care about is arena style maps where you pretty much just go left, middle, or right and that’s it. Nothing vast like downfall, seelow, outskirts. It’s a shame.
One of my all-time greatest COD achievements is making a one shot sniper kill from one side of Downfall to the other. Possibly the longest COD kill shot possible. Maybe Seelow or Outskirts would have it beat in sheer size, but I don't think you have a longer A to B shot distance possible. Fuck I miss WaW with every fiber of my being.
The nostalgia of getting to the PPSH drum mag, PTRS sniper or flamethrower perk at level cap 65 & unlocking zombies is hard to beat. I think I have to give WaW my #1 cod spot. So many weapons were viable, ofc had some OP ones but still majority of the guns were so fun to use. Such great maps too.
I remember watching that movie and the eneing quote "What have I done" before the bridge explodes. Whenever I played on that map and use the satchel charges to score kills I repeat that line 😂
I really like seeing that you mentioned the River Kwai reference to Banzai, since I haven’t seen anyone else talk about it elsewhere 😂 there really was a bridge in Thailand that the movie took inspiration from, but it got destroyed after WW2. I really love this game and Black Ops 1, my two favs. Side note: there is another dog house in the map Corrosion, also featured in Map Pack 2
