To my surprise Venmo doesn't work here in Brazil. When I first arrived I was sending my money through my bank and quickly realized it was the most expensive and slowest way to transfer money here. In this video I talk about my 2 favorite methods of transferring money, which one is the quickest, and which is the simplest and safest.
Wise Link: wise.com/invit...
(If you use this link I get a little referral fee and would greatly appreciate it!)
Coinbase: coinbase.com/j...
(I get a little referral fee from this as well, but make sure and learn about this before using it to send money.)

Completely NO bank fees? Open an account at the Bank of Brazil in the United States (I think only in south Florida), and another account at Banco do Brasil in Brazil. The transfer between the sister banks will have NO fees at all, and goes right into your account in Brazil.

That's a good deal. Do they give a good exchange rate too?

I love your guys Channel I found last week. I'm from the US & I'm leaving the end of July, to go back to Brazil for an indefinite period. I haven't been since immediately before stupid Covid began. I would like to continue my life in Brazil not here

Why cant you send from your coinbase to her mercado directly? Does it matter if it’s binance or coinbase?
@americaninbrasil
@americaninbrasil Год назад
That's a good question. I actually stopped sending money this way because we had a scare the last time and had to contact mercado bitcoin because the funds didn't show up for over a day. Now I just use wise

WISE is the best. I have done wire transfers from our bank in USA = expensive. Xoom (PayPal) less than the bank but about double of Wise, a bit less. Found Wise. It has been hassle free. Using our Capitol One credit card is nearly a match to the mid-rate offered by the Foreign Exchanges (eg. Wise). The additional fee charged by a vendor in Brasil for using a Credit Card adds to the purchase at the store, but is usually negligible. Glad you stuck to your guns regarding that Realtor Mess in Rio.

Man you aren't lying. I did a wise transfer on Sunday and it went through in 9 seconds.

@@americaninbrasil Yep. Same. Trxfrd a larger sum and it arrived in 10 minutes. All transactions do pass through the National Bank clearing house (Bradesco, Banco do Brasil - Federal Banks). That happens unseen in the background. The first time I transferred a large amount (over $2800ish) there was a 5 day hold. Since then. No hold. We also opened an account with Banco Original (a virtual, no brick and mortar). I was skeptical at first, but. No issues at all.

It's a little hard to follow your reasoning because you start saying something and mid sentence you change into saying something else. Just so many starts and stops and then you continue talking..🥴💫
