I've had my Snapchat map location on ghost mode for quite a while (and the account is private too). I don't even understand why Snapchat has a map feature, and why it's turned on by default. It's extremely dangerous and I hope that when things like these happen Snapchat can be held liable for any harm or damage caused because they are partially to blame!
