I've been watching a lot of these horror story videos and a common theme has popped up that really concerns me. It appears that 80% of the time, people don't immediately call the police, if at all. I understand these are traumatic events, but please report right away because the next person may not be so lucky.

Ah, yes. I remember the days before Uber got really strict about security and safety. It was *so* easy for someone to lie about their car and identity to scam or harm passengers. That’s why you now have to go through so many hoops to become an Uber driver and they insist that passengers verify the plate number before getting in/report drivers who show up in a different car than what is listed.

I did Uber for a year and one day I picked up man who looked very wried and I took him to a train station about a hour and a half away. On the way we talked a lot and I told him a lot about me. 3 weeks later I had a new career making 75k a year. He was the founder and CEO of a huge company. I been there about a year now and have traveled all over the world did work for a few celebrities. Treat everyone you meet with respect cause you never know who you are talking to and how they can change your life forever.

I *always* carry a gun when I drive for uber or ride an uber, cannot be too careful. A few months ago I picked up one guy from a Walmart he had a hammer he said he just bought it because he has to "fix a headboard for his bed" he put it in the trunk, which is good for me because you can't enter the trunk from inside the car, you have to be out of the car. he wanted to go to a bar at 3am *obvious warning sign* he was directing me because he said the building was new and easily missable *obvious warning sign* then 2 min into the ride he was starting to become uneasy about me carrying, I said "how would you know if I'm carrying?" He said "I can see it" (at this point I'm creeped out cuz it's under my shirt in my belt and I have a hoodie on so there's no outline and it's out of his visual range so I assumed he's baiting me into saying if I'm carrying a weapon) I replied "you are correct but you can't see it, im military trained so you have nothing to worry about" he didn't say anything afterwards and he payed at the end, but when he got off the *bar* he was going to was a broke down building and I said "is this the right address?" He said "yeah it is" he started walking into the building, I said "you forgot your tool in the trunk" he said "keep it I don't need it" which was weird cuz he literally just bought it at the Walmart I picked him up at. He went inside the broken rubble building and I left. I threw the hammer away at a fast food place before I went home in case he did something to it.I still drive for uber for extra cash aside of my regular job I searched in the search bar "uber horror stories" just to have a relevant topic to vent my story on lol if you read this far and endured my heartbreaking punctuation errors, cheers🍻
