I am a level 9 state level competitive gymnast and I can tell you for sure once you get over the fear of going backwards a backflip is soooooooooooooooooooooooo much easier. Good luck!
Hi mate, from the UK here and just wanna take a moment to say I love your videos. You break down flips so well and make it so much easier to learn. Currently trying to learn these 3 flips and front handspring. Getting so close to landing a few now. Thank you for the vids, keep em coming!
Great Flips for overcoming the fear in the beggining. I did that 10 years ago, too. That is when I taught myself the backflip and other flips. The problem is, I practiced so often, that my brain adapted the move "sideways". So it was really hard for me to get it perfectly straight afterwards. That is why I would not recommend to practice it that way. Always try to do it the proper way, get yourself help and use mats or go to gymnastic classes. That will save you frustration later.
Seriously?! Lol. That's weird. Everyone can stretch their ankles to that angle. You can stretch to that angle if you kneel down while stretching your ankles.

Back in 1998 me and friends did something similar to what you call parkour , we just called it "Street Flipping" we would practice capoeria and had some martial arts backgrounds as well. But we would try different flips and moves on and over things. But I love how this sport has evolved. ✌- zeroGravity
@@helveticabestfont12345 so really what u do is if u can land a front flip just practice doing 180 with ur body then when u do tge front flip make the arm ur turning with hit the oppisite leg then just tuck
Bharath Bharath well I I have been doing backflips on trampoline for year and I started doing my backflips on the ground at a gym and I i was landing all of them so then I took it to grass and did it first try but I would say all together it took like four years bu you can probably land it faster because I didn’t real try until it was late
For a whole month?😨 Omg, you will loose a lot of your skill, but what were you even doing to hurt your back? Doing Front flip on the grass? Please, if you're not doing parcour for that long, here's a good( maybe predictible) advice: NEVER do tricking on grass, if you didn't do the one trick you are practicing, learning...at least 2times successful on a hard mat(without falling of course)
@@lydmylamuseyko7359 No he won't. Thats all in your head. If you stop training for a month you can still come back fine. A week or two will be a drag but after that back on track. I could stop doing something for a few weeks and come back and still have it....thats all in your head. Its like riding a bike. Now if you sat around and did nothing and let your body go for longer than that then yeah physically you won't be as fit and ready.
@@lethalassassin1754 I know, I mean I'm doing a lot of sports, where you learn for 6 years and then...if you don't practice for a month, you loose your progress, like in 2weeks(nearly the half of the month is gone, where you could practice) he will learn it of course back, but he will need an other month, to get better, if he doesn't do any sports, because: you won't be as fit anymore, you will not be able to do the new tricks, because you will do the old ones, you know, but you have to learn them again. I know it doesn't take a lot of time, maybe a week to refresh all, but your psychical "wall of fear" won't let you do it so easy anymore
I've been trying desperately to do a butterfly kick/b-kick (basically the b-twist but no twist) but I cant keep my legs straight and I'm cant get off the ground very high. I dont know what to do ):
In my opinion, it’s one of the best flips you can learn for going backwards and getting over that fear... especially if you’re scared.” Yes, that’s what... fear means
EzDean Fassassi he never mentions that one in the entire vid bud. And if you think he did, he is probably saying that it is a better way than landing on your face and breaking your neck.
