don’t get tight curls and describe to the hair dresser how you want it, also when you do your hair and blow dry and comb all that it will stretch the curl out so it will be kinda wavy

korean perms can be tight or super curly. it depends on the rollers that are used. whenever i go to my korean barber, i just get a bts perm hairstyle done to me since i’m korean and it suits me. just clarify that you don’t want it to be super curly, and they’ll adjust it to your needs

just as a heads up, when ur at a hair dresser getting a perm, they will tell you to go with the tighter perm especially if u have straight hair and DONT, ask them to atleast increase the size cuz trust me 1 month of ur hair lookin like a curly noodle is not fun

I got medium longish hair and I've been going with the last option. Seasalt spray and a bit of water does wonders. When styling I always use a hair brush while drying with a blow dryer. A hair brush not a comb. A hair brush is a game changer.

My hair type is really straight and smooth so they always tend to fall over my forehead no matter what product i use ( get, wax , pomade, spray) so maybe I'll try using sea salt spray too lol

So uhh, let's just say, I'm a biker, I want that volume and I have straight hair with quite heavy bulk now, I'm thinking of cutting some of the weight and try to style it with these methods you said, the thing is, as a biker, I wear helmet a lot and over the years no matter what I did to my hair it just flatten out to my head shape cause the dang helmet Any tips?

I used the blow dryer method first n like it but using a flat iron definitely makes my hairs texture last longer. it does take atleast 30 mins tho. im already considering a perm lmaooo in the near future

@@feqol no I didn't get the perm. I actually dont need it, after finding a better hairstylist who gave me tips on haircare & how to style my type of hair the way i want it then it just got easier. i dont even use the iron anymore n i rarely use the blowdryer too B)

Sea salt spray and blow dryer works godly. When i try the curtains look, i mid part my hair, comb and hairband them to the back, 3-4 pumps of sea salt spray and leaving out some lose strands. Works well in case you don't have a blow dryer available

I have the opposite problem, my hair has lots of volume especially at the front I have the curtain hair now. I've had this for like 3 years and now my hair won't flat out and I'm trying to do a new style but I can't since my hair has volume now. After a while you would want reperm it. This is if you have a middle part and be sure TO ASK FOR A KOREAN PERM AND SHOW PICTURES TO THE BARBER.

4) hair styling powder. (not the volume powder that women usually use) It adds texture, holds hair in place, is easy to wash out, super cost effective. A 20g bottle lasts me half a year. I don't understand why virtually no content creator ever mentions this styling product.
