3 Engines brought EB CZ 6 to Ft Morgan CO for its scheduled rendezvous with passengers. 

Running 1 hr and 45 mins late The California Zephyr arrived slowere rate than usual. The lead engine was a Union Pacific RR freight hog, 5272. Two Amtrak Locos 140 & 71 [P42s] made up the rest of the power units. Which Amtrak engine is sick could not be determined. The CZ had reached DEN 1hr and 28 min late. Because freight engines have a limited speed some of the delay can attributed to the UP power and one of the aged Amtrak engines. Passenger service at coach had 3 departing and one boarding.
With a High Ball called #6 was off to completing its final destination of Chicago.
