Hi! I visited my first real elevator machine A room of Otis Pre Lexan elevators modernized by Otis in 2003 with extremely rare gearless motors from the 70’s
@TheLiftDragon

That sounds interesting!

It's the first time I see MCS321 or MCS321M controllers without OVF30 VFD.
@TheLiftDragon
@TheLiftDragon 19 дней назад
Huh? These DO have OVF30, just like all other MCS321. Info is also in the description.

Nice modernization of these elevators, the motors run really fast for geared winches, this is not common. thanks for this video upload :D

Indeed, this mod is really well done and I'd say the MCS321 (RCB 2) is the best modern control system Otis has ever built. Much better than the newer TCBC or GECB for the Gen2s.

Wieder mal ein sehr gutes und Interresantes Video👍. Für Getriebemotoren laufen die ja sehr schnell, hatten diese Aufzüge davor die Otis Black Buttons?
@TheLiftDragon
@TheLiftDragon 8 месяцев назад
Dankesehr!

What is that stain on the wall behind machine #1? It looks as though something went wrong which caused dirty oil to get flung out and sprayed onto the wall. Somebody probably had a bad day dealing with the aftermath, but I imagine it being an interesting story.
@TheLiftDragon
@TheLiftDragon 8 месяцев назад
Indeed that is possible, looks like oil stains from the gearbox oil. However, I don't know anything about how or when that happened. By the looks of it the stains are very old, they could have happened years or even decades ago.

Any one of those driven pulleys is holding up the weight of the car, the load, the counterweight, and the cables, I think.
@TheLiftDragon
@TheLiftDragon 8 месяцев назад
Half of it exactly, as the lifts are in 2:1. The other half rests on the motor frame.
@b43xoit
@b43xoit 8 месяцев назад
@@TheLiftDragon Good point, only half. So, approximately the weight of the car. Anyway, that requires some pretty good bearings. And of course, the diameter and material of the axle have to be chosen properly to meet the requirements.

a question, how do you get acces to all these motor rooms in switzerland? are you a elevator technician?
@TheLiftDragon
@TheLiftDragon 6 дней назад
In der Schweiz habe ich die gängigen Schlüssel zu den Anlagen und in Deutschland kenne ich ein paar Leute, welche jeweils Zugang haben.

Hello! I've been on a break from RU-vid for several months now, but within the next weeks I will try to get back to my usual schedule of uploading. I've still filmed a lot during this time, so there sure will be videos.
