Hi! I visited my first real elevator machine A room of Otis Pre Lexan elevators modernized by Otis in 2003 with extremely rare gearless motors from the 70’s
Indeed, this mod is really well done and I'd say the MCS321 (RCB 2) is the best modern control system Otis has ever built. Much better than the newer TCBC or GECB for the Gen2s.
Dankesehr!
What is that stain on the wall behind machine #1? It looks as though something went wrong which caused dirty oil to get flung out and sprayed onto the wall. Somebody probably had a bad day dealing with the aftermath, but I imagine it being an interesting story.
Indeed that is possible, looks like oil stains from the gearbox oil. However, I don't know anything about how or when that happened. By the looks of it the stains are very old, they could have happened years or even decades ago.
@@TheLiftDragon Good point, only half. So, approximately the weight of the car. Anyway, that requires some pretty good bearings. And of course, the diameter and material of the axle have to be chosen properly to meet the requirements.
Hello! I've been on a break from RU-vid for several months now, but within the next weeks I will try to get back to my usual schedule of uploading. I've still filmed a lot during this time, so there sure will be videos.
