Everything about your videos, photography and drone footage is great! I don't understand why you don't have over 100K subscribers already. I hope you are getting up to 40K soon. I lived in Juneau and have driven from Alaska twice. My best advice is ANY maintenance you are considering should be done prior to going. I saw a guy out of his van a month due to transmission issues last summer in BC. Also, Alaska is slow to get stuff unless you fly it in. You really don't want that kind of problem up there, especially going up and down those steep grades. I lost my timing belt in BC. $300 in 1994. Ouch! But a transmission is going for $3500-4000 plus a month without your home and dashed plans. Please get your transmission looked at, please. We worry!!!

Re train rides in Alaska: if you are serious (I know you are), you MUST (must) go to Skagway and take the White Pass and Yukon Railway into Canada. I am a former Alaskan, never really thought much about Skagway, but I was stunned by the place! Ideally you should take the ferry in from Valdez so you can see the Canadian side from the train, it is absolutely magical. And then drive out the next day. And it is pronounced KEE-neye.

If you are worried about the freezer, put a couple of ice cubes in it and if it goes out they will melt and would also refreeze in a blob. Have a great time in Alaska!

The Dempster Highway is amazing guys. A little rough but so worth it. And in Tuktoyuktuk you can swim in the Arctic Ocean there. It took us about a week out and back. Lots of boondocking available.

Then again, road to Kennicott is rough with potholes. Bird boat tours out of Seward are amazing. Remember the southern gannets in St. Mary’s Newfoundland? A little like that.

We found that data coverage was pretty extensive in Alaska. But we were constantly throttled in Canada. (We use Verizon.) The road to McCarthy was no problem. Worth going. We also drive 2WD. Be sure to bring a tire repair kit. Seldovia wasn’t worth it. The Salmon glacier out of Hyder, AK, was phenomenal. Rough road but doable. But don’t drive up to it if cloudy.

Southeast Alaska has decent winters. About 10-15° colder than Seattle. I saw winters with no snow, and I saw a winter with nearly 200". It never got above freezing that whole winter, which was unusual. Ferry in from Skagway or Haines and Roodle will be fine. Ketchikan is milder still. But you would want to break up the ferry rides regardless of which direction you come from. Most stuff is closed in winter, and there isn't a while lot to do tourist wise in SE Alaska. If you go to Junesu, I'll give you a list and could include photos if you want. I was there 8 years. Good luck, be prepared, and have fun!!

If I was going I'd have to have a really good head net "and" a full body net suit, if there is such a thing 😁. And a mosquito net for the van door, and maybe one to encase the entire van. LOL!! 😆!! Suggestion: Put your rocks in old socks and put them in your shoes you are not wearing. Then you only have to move them from shoe to shoe, I thought I remember seeing a shoe holder in your garage,
