Hello! We are Dave, Carrie and Roodle the Labradoodle! We sold our traditional house, quit our jobs and began our journey in December of 2018. We converted out 2017 Ram Promaster into our tiny home on wheels and we have been exploring North America One adVANture at a time! If this is your first time here.....WELCOME!!! If you are returning and things look a bit different it's because our RU-vid Channel was hacked... we are EXTREMELY happy to have our channel restored but it is taking some time to get things back in order!

I liked it. Even though I'm from the general area (Mio) I don't know where this lake is. So many of these videos don't give directions. Thanks, I enjoyed it. Jerry

Highway 12 Utah would rival any road. With stops at Capitol Reef, going over the Hogback near Escalante and driving the Burr Trail, Bryce Canyon , Red Canyon and Zion National Park. Driving into Zion from the East side and throught he tunnel is amazing.The variety of different scenery makes this drive special.

LOVE HIGHWAY 12! Probably our favorite drive in the lower 48. Apples and oranges when it comes to beauty…. Each different in their own way! Both BEE-YOU-TEE-FULL!!!

Quite the trek this leg to get to the well hidden gem, Salmon Glacier. But Canada? I thought you already crossed into Alaska? If I'd just kept watching, you explained it at 13:30, as you usually do ;) How long will you be in AK? You might see bears fishing before you leave :)

I probably drive it 3 times a year at least, every year. I’ve been at the Athabaska Glacier in the middle of winter at night at -40c. It is amazing, NO Wind (which is very unusual) and clear sky lit up with stars. May is a nice time to drive the Parkway. Sure you can drive the Parkway in 3 hours but you’re not going to experience it. Smart move staying the Visitor Centre overnight. Good choice of music and a very well done video. Thank you. Safe travels.

The scenery there is breathtaking! That camping spot was epic! But I was taken by surprise with the tide surge! Now that is something that would shake you up. I can imagine how y'all felt! Good thing you got that gentle reminder of how unexpected nature can be. Looking forward to every bit of this trip. Enjoy the journey and stay safe y'all!

Thanks guys - Lots of useful info here. We are coming up in a few weeks and also traveling up the Cassiar and staying in Hyder. I did read the warnings about camping near the shores but thank you for reminding us - probably would have forgotten by then. Great job on this and we will be following your progress. Safe travels!

Brown bears are not the same as grizzlies…..
@oneadVANtureatatime
@oneadVANtureatatime 4 дня назад
+@TP-es1pf Those that live in coastal areas of Alaska are called brown bears, while typically inland bears that have limited or no access to marine-derived food resources are often smaller and called grizzlies. Both have the same distinctive body shape described below. Distinctive shoulder hump. Rump is lower than shoulder hump….. according to the National Park Website. Seems like they are pretty much the same to me…. Just eating different food🤷‍♀️
@TP-es1pf
@TP-es1pf 4 дня назад
@@oneadVANtureatatime well several google sites would beg to differ …. I suspect US and Canada differ in their names, grizzlies are much larger and very unpredictable. Brown bears are big black bears in nature. Hope you don’t meet one either way….😁

You two are awesome. I would never attempt a trip like this unless with a group. I am assuming you are the team leader. You are cautious but take some risk, at least risk i would be comfortable with. Am enjoying your travels to Alaska and thanks for bringing us along. BTW, what speed were you going on those potholed roads? This is wonderful.
@oneadVANtureatatime
@oneadVANtureatatime 4 дня назад
+@mikefarrell5996 a little risk is exciting but a risk that changes your lives (not for the good) or causes major damage…… not so much fun! Dave says we were driving about 15mph. This will change for each person. How well your suspension is, how heavy you are, how bad the road is, how good are your tires…..ect. The key is finding “your” sweet spot. If it is REALLY BAD…. Airing down your tires will also help.
