Great demonstration of breakfalling but I didn't see any atemis. I also noticed that your hands were down, and not in the defensive position as the punch came in.
Well that’s actually an interesting question. He is currently (as of dec 2020) an orange belt, but often wears a white belt as do many of my other students. I’ve never asked them to do this or make this choice but many of them do entirely of their own volition. At the time of this video though he actually was a white belt though and had only been training for a few months.
No headgear required as we don't (unless it goes very wrong) bash our heads off the floor. An some beginners take longer to build there confidence than overs but it is a step by step process with each step being done carefully and when the student is ready to avoid injury. Safety is always the priority.
My body said yes, my brain said wtf are you doing!?! Started going downhill when rolling over the other guys. By the time I was on the last exercise it was hopeless
@@darrenp2096 Perhaps it would be good to break your brain in gently and I'd recommend the ukemi exercise video I did to warm up to the notion of not being aligned with gravity, your brain might appreciate it. Also I'd really stick to exercise 1 and 2 until you've got them completely down before moving on to 3. Let me know if it helps. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TlO1qKTGWgE.html&t
Throws are so cool but I don't understand how it would be practical in a real fight. People are are going to resit that motion. I love Judo, but someone help me understand.
