That's far from being the first scandal involving the Mesa pd. I love how that first cop tells the reporter she's ruining his life. Willing to bet he never gave a second thought to lives he has ruined.
@@johndoeferson1746 one example is when police were looking for an older white man, and arrested a young black man, keeping him in jail for days before realizing their mistake. When he got out he lost his job, couldn’t pay bills or get car out of impound, and things cascaded from there Police are revenue collectors, which can destroy people financially for small infractions that they have the discretion to pursue or let go. Especially in a country where most people live paycheck to paycheck or are one medical issue away from bankruptcy. Also they can be trigger happy causing physical harm to innocent people, and ego driven in their use of force. Uvalde was an unfortunate but illustrative example of top down department failures and how that affects innocent citizens. Standing around for an hour while children bleed out, arresting the parents outside trying to do the job they aren’t, and then targeting a mother who saved a class of kids because she spoke to the media and wasn’t praising their inaction
Arizona is main destination and transit point for child sex and hard labor, Tucson is headquarters, 6484 N Oracle Rd, it's a spa, Sheriff Chris Nanos and wife Charlene Nanos operate it. Law enforcement and system are trafficking.
This is just the tip of the iceberg with the Mesa Police department! The Supreme Court should abolish qualified immunity for all law enforcement officers!
That's a start. Abolish Police Unions and IA Departments in lieu of citizen boards as well as requiring all officers all the way to the chief to pay for their own liability insurance. Then watch the bad ones jump ship like it's sinking. The bad ones that think they will get away with the misconduct, will do themselves in on the job.
I have to agree, abolish qualified immunity for all police officers. They are getting arrested every day for crimes and its not right to protect them for violation of citizens that they know exactly how they can get away with the crimes they commit to citizens, that's why they keep doing it.
Not just he's personal live. There is a reason wy he spend 25 years just as a police officer and never got promoted. Where there is smoke there is fire.
@@rodniegsm1575 Please don't disrespect Officer Chang..He only cheated on his wife just once, pity he couldn't keep it in his pants and continued the affair for years. You can see why the other woman was so attracted to him. He's such a hunk and so adorable.
Do any of y’all think this was their first time? How about officer cosmann? Think that’s the first prostitute he’s ever hit/abused? And how dare the first cop blame the reporter for “trying to ruin his family” when she wouldn’t even be on his doorstep if it wasn’t for what HE DID. They need to face every charge available…just like any regular citizen would.
It's no secret that Mesa PD has some of the most out of control LEO's in the country. And their leadership endorses their behavior. Why is it that when they commit crimes it is treated as an internal investigation and policy violations but, when anyone else does it they treat it like a criminal investigation and they go to jail. The best way to avoid jail for your crimes in this country is to just get a job working for the state, and they will do everything they can to get you off...
There must be a nationwide rule that if an officer is under criminal investigation they can't just resign from their department and get another position in another department down the road.
A detective offered an undercover cop 20-30 dollars for the wild thing ? 😂 The undercover cop was probably less offended that other cops pay for the wild thing than she was for how little he offered her. 😂
We as civilians would be charged with much more then petty misdemeanors. We all know that if someone strikes another person and renders another person unconscious it is not a simple assault but a felony that can carry a felony charge. These 3 are all facing serious charges while on duty? A predator is a predator even if they wear a badge and should be treated as such! They need to understand the importance of what they have done and preach. Do the crime do the time. Bet they can choke on those now. Hopefully the punishment will be quickly and true and they lose their pension and eventually everything they love and hold dear!
Not in school, in school I got punched in the face & head about 30-50 times & administration still tried to expel me after I was suspended. I was bullied by a obese European pushing 240lbs when I was 11 & only 80lbs. Essentially attempted murder & nothing happened, everyone watched including administration & didn't even try to stop him.
They( Mesa pd) are civilians also. Contrary to what the perverted and manipulated merriams-webster will tell you. They rewrote many definitions after 9/11.
The taxpayers are not paying the pension. Taxpayers pay for matching the officer's mandatory contribution while the officer was still employed. Once the officer is no longer working there, the taxpayers are no longer contributing to the officer's retirement. Contributions to pension funds are invested and managed for growth so the pension plan, not the taxpayers, can make the lifetime payments. But I agree that what they did was disgusting and they got off way too easy.
Mesa PD is notorious for treating people badly. They charged my friend with trespassing, aggravated assault and attempted burglary while he was having a smoke on the side of a grocery building with a friend. He was in a Safeway parking lot next to a nail salon. They didn’t read him any rights, didn’t tell him what he did wrong, they just immediately jumped on him and cuffed him, shoved him into the ground and mistreated him. He has no prior record but they sure are trying to give him one. A kid who has stayed out of the system put into it by crooked cops. That’s creating a problem not solving it. He’s getting a civil rights lawyer and fighting it. Thanks Mesa PD!
I hope that you're friend would get Mesa P.D i remember back in April of 2012 i came out of the Arizona mill. I saw a mesa cop in the parking lot i was driving a 2008 GMC Sierra with tainted windows. He only pulled me over because I was from California. He tell what was i doing in Arizona i told him that i was on fxxking vacation let me say he didn't like my response. He where do you live at i said in a house, And he got mad 😠 San Jose Ca.
@@rubenelenez110 He fought the charges in court and won. Charges were dropped thankfully. That sucks about your experience. He wouldn’t even have jurisdiction at Arizona Mills too because it’s in Tempe.
ATTACH TO THEIR PENSIONS FOR LIFE! Abolish qualified immunity and police unions! Remember this disrespectful behaviour at Election time because it ALWAYS runs downhill! 💩🤡🐷🚽⚖️💸🇺🇸👏🏻
If can only be respectful if he is charged and put in jail or prison. I have seen people go to prison just for lying under oath in court . He’s no better than any citizen!
Exactly!!! “One may know that any witness testifying in court must "tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth." That's why before taking the stand, witnesses have to take an oath.”

Why are all these Leos allowed to resign instead of being fired out right? Any other employment if you screwed up that bad you would be fired on the spot. End qualified immunity.
I mentioned him too. Have any of these specific pigs starred in and of D's videos? I don't remember the names, for the most part. Calderone is so stunningly bad, his name I can never forget.
That would a good idea as he would clean house! But those of us who know Direct D according to the Government, he can't exercise his 2 Amendments rights and that a requirement to be in Law enforcement.
@@rimc4378 what about sheriff? Elected position, at that high rank, not much enforcing of the law going on personally. Don't need to personally carry when you got a full department you get to order around.
@@ctom4932 Now that would be a good position for Direct D Elected Sheriff! He could clean out the hole county of bad cops and jail staff. He would be like the Andy Griffen show a Sheriff with out a gun.
@@rimc4378 walking tall. A whittled grip, leather wrapped, on a 4x4 with scars from useage. That would just be awesome. I'd watch that episode of COPS.
Almost applied for the Mesa police in 98. They were the only police department who did not need a college degree to be a cop. Decided to be a mechanic instead. Glad I never became a cop.
Oh how nice that they were "allowed to resign" & weren't charged... wonder if the average person would have that luxury?!!? We all know the answer to that question ⚖️
Why would he do this to his wife? He knew this woman was in a vulnerable position and could not consent because he is in a position of power and authority. They need to go to jail.
This is no surprise given there are some rude egotistic employees in the Mesa police department from dispatch to those on the street. But many are on the job for the right reasons. Many are not. If you want a good look at blatant unprofessionalism from Mesa's officer's take a look on RU-vid at some first amendment auditor's and cop watcher's video's. There are many of them in Mesa. Direct D and Spittin Cobra to name a few. Be sure to pay close attention to the cops negative reactions to being filmed that by the way is a first amendment right. Mesa's judges refuse to allow people to act in their own defense which is a right. Laws state clearly one can film and record their case's in the court room but Mesa's judges are denying that right. These folks filming are on public property such as a sidewalk and many have been arrested for filming in public that ends with charges being dropped. Most of them that do have a confrontation with police say nothing to the officer's at first but when they do respond they are only responding to unlawful orders being given. Be sure to observe closely in the video's what Mesa's police says and does to the homeless and how they disrespect them. The video's clearly show Mesa officers soliciting a trespass from businesses like McDonald's or Circle K. That is not legal. To be trespassed one has to be first asked to leave by the business or property owner. Everyone likes good cops. It's the bad ones that need to go.
Brought to you by same police force that rehired Officer Brailsford so he could collect pension for murdering an innocent civilian, Daniel Shaver. F Mesa PD
For those commenting about QUALIFIED IMMUNITY, it does not apply in any of these cases. None were protected by qualified immunity. Qualified immunity protects an officer who was acting within the course and scope of their duty and is accused of violating constitutional rights. Also, regarding REVOKING the PENSION.... there is no precedent for taking away retirement benefits that a fired employee paid into. If an employee with a 401K plan gets fired from a company, their 401K isn't revoked. If someone commits a crime, their Social Security isn't revoked. The taxpayers are also not paying the pension. I bring this up, because so many spin their wheels on pointless or irrelevant arguements when the energy should be on areas where immediate change and accountability could and should be occurring. In my opinion, these officers should have been fired, not allowed to resign. They should not be hired by other departments even when they move out of state. They should be prosecuted for any criminal actvity. They should not receive retirement badges or retired officer identification. They should not be granted CCW permits due to their prior law enforcement status. They should apply for CCW as a citizen and be granted or denied as such. The taxpayers should not have to continue paying medical benefits as they would an employee who resigned/retired in good standing. Lastly, the reporter is awesome for seeking them out and confrontng them. That takes guts.
Thank you for the info on QI and the pension payments. I agree we get bogged down on the same two issues when the cops break bad. It's pointless to spin out after the fact on information people don't understand. I also agree 100% with what should happen.
Being able to retire & the other two resigning, is NO accountability, they should have been fired & charged. I wouldn’t even call this a slap on the wrist, more like a Kiss.
Mesa pd has a really bad reputation among law enforcement agencies in the metro Phoenix area , especially their hiring the people who couldn't get hired at other agencies. They are not a large department and are constantly being hit with misconduct scandals.
The city's government DOES NOT have to accept these criminal cops resignations! Allowing them to resign or retire is giving them mercy when they gave their victims none!
