First of all, thank you guys for the support on my previous handful of videos, you guys truly motivate me! My apologies for the inconsistency, life is very busy on my end.
It has been almost 5 months since we unboxed the HYGGER nano reef led. Let’s see how that has been treating our mini reef.
90 gallon is going strong, lots of growth and very little room for new frags!
I had an idea for years to own dwarf seahorses and I’ve always been way too shy to try.. until now.

I started saltwater when I was 17 had a part time job and bought a used 55gal .Before that my parents wouldn't buy me a tank ,they said I wouldn't stick with it.I'm nearly 50 now ,since the first day I have always had a salt system running it gets in yer blood. Life will get busy and sometimes tanks get neglected for a while but we always come back! It's in yer blood I can tell.

@@samheninger505 reading this comment made me smile. It’s definitely in my blood! I got mine age 12, same exact scenario. I brought the 10 gallon with sand and rock home and asked for forgiveness rather than permission. Then they all saw Nemo, and everyone was happy with it. I’m 21 years old currently and I hope to have my tank until I’m your age. Thanks for the inspiration, Sam.

I didn't understand you well. Every how many days should you change the water? how many cant? do you have any skimmer? add all for reef or some balling? Do you use a second pump inside the aquarium... how much power? what sps do you maintain? Sorry for so many questions but I want to put together something like this.

@@ManuelCastillo-kq3xy hello Manuel. Perhaps a better microphone is in order. I used to change a cup of water and replaced it with water from the 90 gallon every other day for the first year. Then, my nutrients were stripped away more easily all of a sudden, so I did stop, and yes as a matter of fact I do use all for reef, just a drop every morning before the light comes on. It doesn’t stack calcium In this tank for some odd reason, but if it did I would have a bottle of tropic Marin Balling K. I just attempt to keep the dosing constant, it has no skimmer and does commonly get a film on it, yet I see no ill effect to everything besides acroporas in there because of the film. The pumps are just desktop fountain pumps, and they are maxed out and all below 50gph, not all a direct stream, one has a custom spray bar that I made. Acropora in all honesty really struggles in such a tiny environment unless you can figure out a more precise way of topping the evaporation off, however any of your “easy mode” Sps like montipora, birdsnest, Stylopora, and most all lps and softies will be awesome. The alkalinity is pretty challenging with sps in there so be aware of that if you choose that route. I hope this answers all of your questions, and thanks for watching.

blue velvet nudibranch.. I had a huge flatworm problem and mine solved the problem. get one for the refugium and one for the main display.

My spotted mandarin dragonet used to eat them sometimes but I got rid of them all thankfully, just finished a final dosing of flatworm exit to get any eggs that were in during the first treatment. The 90 gallon has been clear for a while now and now the pico is clear so far as well. I would love a velvet if it ever turns up again . How do you feel about mp40s in the tank with them?

Would this light work on a softie 15 gallon tank? Your opinion?
@CoralReefkid
@CoralReefkid Месяц назад
@@elizabethweaver2244 yes, but not a super wide one, that would definitely get dark spots.

Are you enriching brine shrimp to feed the dwarf seahorses?
@CoralReefkid
@CoralReefkid 23 дня назад
@@cjsuburban5754 yes I was, and I enriched them with water from my phyto bucket. Dwarf seahorses are way tougher than I expected! They eat so much
