I would like to take this opportunity to Thank Top shelf aquatics for taking the time to visit my home and spend all the time to do this video. Kevin, Blaine and the videographer are the best in the busness. I am humbled to be chosen to be on their channel. I want to also Thank all viewers and especially the ones that took the time to leave comments. Appreciate all of you. This is what makes this hobby so special.
Hi Joseph its a beautiful tank! You have mentioned you dose A and K trace elements. How much ML do you dose a day? and what is your water volume? Thanks!
When everyone talks about methods and doing what works for you, probably the biggest factor of that thought process is you have to know your self. Not what you want to do, what are you able to commit to. The simpler you can keep your idea the more follow through and happiness and success you will have. Don't set your self up for failure by taking on too much. Hey great pow wow TSA, thank you.
@@andrewlindell8626 I think your missing my point. A person can know everything about something but do nothing about it. It's about your energy level. What can you commit to. The more energy you put into this - I call it a lifestyle choice and not a hobby, the nore success it breeds.
@@jesseberg6183 yah that's what I'm referring to by limits. I picked a method that I believe can work to create stability and good conditions and I'm well aware of what's required to do this and maintain it. Like you said it's about what you are willing to put it into it
Watched the complete interview and damn. I’ve got mad respect for this tank and the owner. Only thing that made me laugh a bit was these 2 sentences “keep it simple choose one” “I’m switching my salt” But anyways around you’re a legendary reefkeeper without a doubt.
Joe is really the man, he had been with tropic Marin pro for a long time and still says the salt is worth reefers going for. I think we may of wanted a change of pace and maybe to mirror his work (polo reef). Thanks for tuning in! -Blaine
This is my goal. One day I'll get there. I have a 3-year-old 220-gallon, but I am not near his level. Beautiful tank thanks, Top Shelf Aquatics And thank you joseph
That tank is the bomb! The angelfish that he has in there has he ever had any problems with it, nipping at corals or what not because I would be afraid to put that thing in there. But I guess he has so many corals he probably never notice a nip or two.
Similar to Marks tank, if you haven’t seen that video check it out, but with how large the colonies are and how grown in they’ve become the angel isn’t going to do enough significant damage to notice and keeping it well fed helps too! -Blaine
beautiful system. I have a lot respect for the his work. It is funny however, when I hear, and not just from Joe, that a reefer isn't doing something "because the ocean doesn't do it", such as gravel vacuuming. The ocean doesn't use artificial salt or kalk reactors.
This is true! We all are doing things out of the norm, but I feel we are trying to do our best to mimic the natural ocean. Thanks for tuning in! -Blaine
As long as it's eating the frozen and warding off any future outbreaks I feel it can be a great addition to any reef tank! Joe's was a nice example of one! -Blaine
Nassarius snails! Can find them on our website, a great addition to the clean up crew sand bed and Joe swears by them! Helps maintain that 17+ year old sanded! -Blaine
How the heck did he manage to keep the fem and len wrasses without them killing each other? And 2 females to boot. Every time i have tried, i have failed. Congrats Tusi!
