Finally I realize two things. John Scofield is a poet, and no one can play like him.

I met John at the Vic theater Chicago. He's a sweet guy too. Effortlessly In then out tonally. Makes the ugly duck a swan every time.

This guy Scofield is the best.... beautiful touch . My favorite jazz guitarist for sure. Thanks for the post

John is my all time fav....saw him century ago at old Iridium loc/dec.1 (my birthday) ...i was kind of little dis cause he didn't mentioned that it was Jaco's birthday ...etc...well, that's ok, right? :) gigs was with Medesky .... anyway, there's another really cool cat (much younger) > Adam Agati .... strong recommendation to check that bad boy....that's all.
