I just ordered the Plasma XTE after watching this review, I believe you’re one of the only RU-vidrs so far covering that specific one lol. Great review! 🙏
Thanks, Christian! The Plasma XTE is really a nice case...UAG did a great job. The stand is convenient and well designed. So happy you found my review to be helpful, and I hope you love your new Plasma XTE!!
Ottimo lavoro UAG.
Hi Mary! Hope you are enjoying your weekend!😊 The Civilian is a great case…slim, sleek and with a pleasant amount of grip in the hand. Do you have the Civilian?
Hi @gokwolf! Great to hear from you, as usual! And thanks for the suggestion on Caudabe…I’ve heard good things about their products. Thanks again for watching, and have a fantastic weekend!
The cases look nice specially the first one, but I did try this brand before the case from the side buttons is very loose and also expensive , I returned after few days. Thank you for your review and I am just sharing my own experience. Don’t get mad at me.
Hi Marina! Thanks for sharing your experience! UAG redesigned these cases a bit after they were first released…they now have a covered action button rather than just a cutout, and I think the fit on the sides around the button areas is slightly tighter as well. You might want to give them a second look. I do agree that they are on the pricey side, though…especially the Forged Carbon Monarch Pro. Thanks for watching and taking the time to share your experience! And enjoy your weekend 😊
What about recommendations for a case with grippy sides, enough grip it won't slide off a trunk/hood, that has a least some lip protecting the camera and front glass, that is not the Defender XT or silicone? I'm currently using the Defender XT on a 15 Pro Max, but it adds almost 1/2" of width/height to the phone, but it's the only thing I've found with grippy sides. I've tried tons of the popular/recommended options, even those called "grippy". If the rubber grip on the Defender XT is a 10, I've yet to find another case that even approaches a 5. Seems like even the cases using softer materials are still quite slippery now, even more-so than they were a couple years ago. Smartfish Gripzilla......it's just dimpled hard plastic.....not grippy at all Spigen Ultra Hybrid, nope even remotely grippy Rebel Clear, slightly grippy and it's still not really grippy, great buttons though! Mous Limitless 5.0......slippery, nice case though Nomad Rugged.....great case, but almost no camera protection and you guessed it, slippery. Speckas Presidio Grip 2......used to be great grip, but the new ones are really slick Zagg Santa Cruz, this one had okay side grip, but zero camera/front glass protection, case stopped flush with both. Torras UPro case, this one is probably the best grip of the lot, but still so far behind the XT, super strong magsafe, but is basically flush with the camera lenses and the sides pull apart super easy.
Those covers should remove those simulation screws that's why I bought it, it looks ugly, where is that supposed tone simulator, they should improve that finish...
Hi Pat! Sorry for being slow to answer your comment...I didn't see it somehow. If you are asking about the UAG magnetic ring stand, it is only magnetic on the side which attaches to your phone...
Hi @mando-91. Sorry, I thought I responded to your question before. 🤦♀️The magnetic strength of the ring is considerable, but I think the overall result depends partly on the magnetic strength of the magnets of the case as well
