watching these videos with just the sound of the skis on the snow and no nasty music in background is just fantastic. For some reason I *love* to watch them, particularly when I'm tired at the end of the day and barely have the energy to WALK lol. Not that I would ever be able to ski like this, but it's lovely to be on the top of Alex's head 🙂
Steep runs never look that steep when recorded! We went off piste a few years ago in Les Arcs Grands Cols and hiked up and across for 30 minutes to get some powder down what was, we thought, almost vertical. We filmed each other going down carving through the powder and when we reviewed it later in the bar it looked like we were coming down a bloody blue!
When I see this I have the feeling that les Arcs is a very interesting resort! Beautiful views, hard runs, and amazing skiers like Alex ;-) ! Thanks again for this really cool video!
Did them this week. Hard snow, even on top of Aiguille Rouge. A bit better in the early afternoon. Some of the other Black runs in Les Arcs (Comborciere, Bois de l'Ours, Malgovert) are also pretty good but were those past few days in desperate need of fresh snow.
@@davyhird539 dude I posted this message 1 year ago… note that I was in Les Arcs last week also, almost perfect snow conditions (although a bit on the heavy side)
The KL event of the Olympic games was held on the third track... the slope is very steep ! The only source of pleasure I experience on these slopes comes from succeeding in taming them
Usually there are three black runs (Crêtes, Dou de l'Homme and Lanches) from top of Varet lift. Here it seems that Lanches (third run) was closed since there are no marks along the field.
