TLDR: 1) Think of personality of the art to then match a font. 2) Matching and form to your art, kind of like point one. 3) Consider movement in your work (see where your art points your eyes and place your text there).

I enjoy your videos! I have been a graphic designer for 25 years however, the last 20 years I’ve been working for a corporate promotional products company. So, mostly I just get to see work other designers have done and ready them for printing on whatever promotional product they want. The only actual design work I’ve gotten to do during that time is whatever side work I get from friends I’m able to do at home. So it’s been difficult to stay current on my skills. I’ve been trying to expand my side business more so your videos have helped a lot! Thanks!

These videos are so good, you should make a graphics design course. As someone that wants to learn more of this stuff, do you know of any courses or really good books on the subject? Definitely make a course if you have the time though, I think it could be very lucrative with so many subscribers!

Thanks for the solid feedback. I personally don't watermark my designs, if I'm sending my designs to a client I always have a contract in place to prevent then from running off with designs. If you want to have peace of mind using the design anywhere, you should trademark it

Hi Satori! Examples like 01:41 are good, but you could also consider demonstrating a couple of bad font choices to really cement the justification for the font you showed. As it stands now, the font choice for the gorilla example looks subjective; I'm inclined to think other fonts or variations might work too (say, Thunder Titan font).

Also, take a look at "complement" VS "compliment". I'm not a grammar nazi, and as long as the meaning is conveyed, I don't care. I'm not native, and I make many mistakes. But we design lovers know too well that "good design" implies no details are too small. I love your videos, and the balance you got between theory and practice. Wow, I love your points! They're the basis for an outstanding design👌. Have you ever taught of making a course? That's on Udemy, Skillshare, etc. Something like a typography bootcamp🤔, where you start from a basic level up to advanced. That'll be really nice.
