At the beginning of the school year I made the cheez-it style crackers from cheese from Dollar Tree refrigerator section (The cheddar & pepper jack) and my kids loved it.
@@tatacousin the one I have just says paprika. I added black pepper to mine also. There’s another RU-vidr that makes homemade cheez-it’s, I used his recipe.
Hi Bold Bakers! Get the written recipes and instructions for all 3 crackers here: www.biggerbolderbaking.com/homemade-cracker-recipes/ Be sure to share what you make with me on social media or my website!
Hands down the best and easiest baker to follow and learn from. I just started a couple months ago and have run through many of your recipes, Gemma. From pretzels, cakes, to breads, and even toffee - everyone of them turned out amazing. Now, crackers are on the list. Thank you so much!!!
I ate Ritz last Friday and i was just thinking i'm gonna make this Ritz cracker this weekend but now i need to make all of these crackers😄 It's time to check my ingredients. Thank you Gemma 😊
Gemma - a couple of technique questions: (1) would it work to use a pasta machine to roll out the dough? (2) would it work to sprinkle to Ritz dough with salt and prick the dough before cutting? I am excited to try these recipes. We really like all three of these crackers. :) Thanks for your time to create these recipes and videos.
So long as they’re not burnt, you can bake it a bit longer. Hope you get on well with the recipe. The link to each can be found here, www.biggerbolderbaking.com/homemade-cracker-recipes/
Love this! Also want to say I picked up a copy of the cookbook and it is the best! Seriously, well written and presented for someone like me - love to bake, but need tips and techniques and easy to understand recipes.
I recently bought groceries delivered to my house 🏡 this week. and I always bought Nabisco Crackers and Ritz crackers, and for some reason the Ritz crackers lost it's falovr. I also like Town House Crackers too. there's nothing like a hot bowl of my favorite soup and crackers on a cold winter day or Night 🌃.🥣🥄🥰☺️😚
This video is perfect for me. I love Cheezits but unfortunately there is an ingredient MSG that is in every bag or box of this product and I am very allergic so I am going to bake your recipe and enjoy my favorite cracker. I also love Ritz and wheat thins same reason I don't buy them MSG is added.
Just what I wanted!! I refuse to buy the prepackaged shelf stuff..Now I can make at home! Thank You again! You're amazingly in tune with what we want. 💕
Better make your own Cheese its people! One day I noticed a dark off color spot peaking through my Cheese it. I used my fingernail to gently scratch the surface. Suddenly a translucent thing lifted out. OMG! It was an insect wing of some sort. I opened the cracker more and it was a common black fly. I took pictures of it while it was still partway stuck in the cracker. I sent them to family members to beware plus to the company. They wanted to send me my money's worth of coupons to make up for it. I said don't bother. I can't bring myself to buy anything from this company after this. Better make your own Cheese its people!
I was watching this and thinking to get the thin sheets could you use a pasta machine to get that thin evenly thin cracker. I don't have one but was just wondering
I haven't tried it, but this is a softer dough compared to pasta. It might not hold together that well in a pasta machine. You're welcome to try though. We'd love to know how it goes.
Thank you, Gemma! I literally was wondering if I could make Ritz crackers myself this week, bc I ran out and had to buy some at the store. This is easy to follow. ☺️
If you have a pasta roller attachment for your stand mixer, you could roll it out with that. Especially if you want to make them a solid rectangle. You just roll it out, fold it over, roll again until it's a rectangle.
well this will be an experiment. I don't own a food processor but I do have a stick blender (bamix but not all the accessories as expensive) so can. hopefully, get the breadcrumb stage then maybe transfer it to the stand mixer for the water bit (if the blender does not bring it all together) or just mix it by hand if all else fails my oven is either a halogen, a ninja foodi on bake or a toaster oven (that I have not used)
sadly I can't stand that long to mix by hand any more and my counters are a tad too low LOL I'm thinking use the bamix hand blender to blitz the cheese & flour etc. as I figure the flour will help stop the cheese clumping as much.then I might be able to make the 'dough' with the same blender but if not, the stand mixer should be able to handle combining the wet & dry together only down side using the halogen or ninja is the regular sized trays that fit an oven don't fit these so have to remember roll out and bake in smaller batches ;) quick question, could you replace the cheese with a powdered cheese flavour as cheese is not cheap here in the UK where I live
This is brilliant! You are to sweet 😊 Thank you for being so appreciative of your audience and taking the time from your busy schedule to actually respond!!! Love and well wishes to you, hubby and adorable baby boy 💐🌟💝
just curious, if you know... since I can't have gluten, I'd have to try these with gf flour. but in some instances, like when making bread, you make something between dough and the batter while when making crepes, you make basically the same consistency as with glutenous flour. so do you think, or know, would these be same consistency with gf flour, or more fluidy or what? lol, just to add, I wrote that comment before realizing the name of the third cracker - I'm mostly interested in the ritz as I've just seen a recipe for columbian desert which uses ducales crackers, which are apparently replaced with ritz crackers in us, but none of them are available where I live, and if they were, they probably wouldn't be available gf...

Love your videos you always have such unique things that you cook or bake on your channel. I have just one request. Could you please put the recipe written out in the drop-down box please?
Thanks for your support, Reta! We sometimes have to make shortcuts in videos to enhance functionality. Also, some recipes may need updates over time. Hence, we always direct bakers to one source which is my site to maintain consistency. That way bakers are assured that they have the correct recipe whenever they access it from the site. I hope this makes sense. Your support and patience are much appreciated! You can always find links for written recipes (along with video if available) below or above my videos/pictures in my posts’ description box. On each page, below the recipe title, you'll see a “jump to recipe” button and/or a “jump to video” button (if applicable) . Click on the button, you'll be directed to the recipe/video section. Hope you enjoy: www.biggerbolderbaking.com/homemade-cookie-recipes-store-bought/
Yes. I don't know if it's just me or is anyone else having trouble accessing the recipes? I would love to try these crackers. I can get the ingredients from the video but not the amounts,
❤❤❤❤.. my new years resolution is to learn how to make as may resturant style and snack food as possible to cut down on going to resturants and buying snacks to cut down on grocery bills. Now yo plan time to do it consistently.
Gemma, I appreciate these cracker recipes since here in the U.S. so many foods are contaminated with GMO and BioEngineered ingredients. Thank you for sharing! Peace and Blessings to everyone 🌻
Welcome to Bigger Bolder Baking! We launch a new video every Thursday, 8:30 AM PST. I include a link to the written recipe, with instructions and measurements, with each video in the description. Because of all the international conversions, it’s just easier for everyone this way. All recipes (around 600 of them) are in www.biggerbolderbaking.com
I know this is difficult to understand, but people around the world measure in different ways. We have to give cups/metric measurements and imperial measurements. It takes too much out of the flow of the presentation, and really slows it down. We know, we tried it before, and it was just as tricky. We put the link to the recipe right by the video for your convenience. I hope this helps.

Perhaps you rolled them thicker. The thinner the dough, the crispier the crackers. If your dough is too thick, you'll end up with softer crackers that resemble a bread stick more than a cracker.
Yes, but it should be an almond flour baking mix. almond flour won't hold well enough to achieve the right texture and crunchiness. Check my almond flour baking mix recipe for guidance, www.biggerbolderbaking.com/almond-flour-baking-mix/ Hope this helps.
Glad that you enjoyed the recipe. Like most people at home, I just get on with it. I am not selling the food I make here, but if I were, it would be a different story. Thanks for being here.
This is the kind of world 🌎 we've made for ourselves and our children, better have no enemies when the light goes out , due to the economic criss, wars and rate of unemployment I think now is the best time to invest and make more money for the future💯.
Oohh lovely ❤❤I’ve been searching for an easy cracker recipe n these will definitely do as I’ve tried a lot of ur recipes n they are my go to when I need to bake something. Thanks Gemma👍🙏💕
So glad I searched for this. I love crackers and thought I should make them so I could design my own taste. I like a grazing kind of eating with small meals. I think it is the most natural way of eating. Simple, basic food like crackers and various sausages and cheeses is my kind of eating.

For cheese crackers, you want to make sure the shredded cheese is finely ground together with flours. No need for this in the other two recipes. Hope you give them a go and enjoy: www.biggerbolderbaking.com/homemade-cracker-recipes/
They are easy to make! Get the measurements for each recipe through links found here, www.biggerbolderbaking.com/homemade-cracker-recipes/ Hope you enjoy!
