Where do you get your info from ? The guy is simply talking about the infamous cases which yeah, I think there was no good happening there. They never claimed that. They had hundreds of cases , but worked for free many years. I watched a documentary about them. And while some of the cases seem sketchy, they also did not harm anyone and actually helped a lot of people.

21:33 so, many moons ago, when the internet was still new, I remember a frightening Old Hag story I read online. The details are fading with time... but basically, it was a woman who was spending the night at her boyfriend's house? Or, it was her husband who was sleeping on the couch, and she was in the bedroom. She woke up and walked into the living room, to her horror, in the middle of night , with the moon shining in the room, she could see her husband/boyfirend asleep on the couch and an old woman sitting on his chest/abdomen. looking back now it was sitting in what you'd call "Asian squat." she was absolutely terrified. The hag was sitting there, staring intently at him as he slept, and she wrote that she even noticed that it shifted a bit as if to get more comfortable. Omg that was one of the first, most terrifying stories I remember reading online! I think she just goes back to bed and hides under the covers, then she wakes up and thinks it was all a terrifying nightmare, until her boyfriend tells her that he had a sleep paralysis episode of someone sitting on his chest!!!

I don’t have an Old Hag story but when I was a kid I was spending the weekend with my cousin. I was asleep in one of their half beds. From the foot of my bed across the room was a window. Standing by the window was a full human size shadow. In a raspy voice it was calling my name, “David, David, Daaaviiid” I know I was fully awake and had covered my head with the blankets. It kept calling my name and soon I awoke the entire house with my screaming. I’ll never forget it. It hasn’t happened since and I pray it will never happen again.
If it was sleep paralysis, you shouldn’t have been able to pull the blanket over your head… your body would be frozen. Maybe it was a sleep-deprived hallucination and/or audio hallucination instead of sleep paralysis

I have had these sleep paralysis experiences. It is one of the only dream cycles I remember. The hag is like a banshee and a succubus. I “wake” to the panic that I cannot move or breathe. I open my eyes to find this apparition having over me, sucking the air out of the room, my breath from my body. I am able to shut my eyes tight and pray in my mind. “ With Christ who commands, you have no power over me! Be gone. In a moment, I am released to breathe again, my body relaxes. I then turn on my bedside light and sleep with it on, turned on my side with my head covered the rest of the night.
The Natchez trace trail ( now; parkway)’ at five years old, I made my mother I threw it. I literally made my mother pull the car off to the side of the road. I exited the car and ran into the woods. She kept calling my name and I would just say it’s OK mom I’m here finally as my mom says, two or three hours later I come out of the woods with a very special prize. I had a bone arrowhead and my mother again says I looked at her and said mommy I used to live here. Thank you for bringing me to visit home. This is a true story and now I’m 67. I still remember running into those woods, and feeling so free and happy
I don't know. I have been hiking the Pacific Crest Trail for years. I have yet to encounter any cryptids. Perhaps I am not sensitive enough for their impact? I live on a 300 plus acre ranch near the western entrance to Yosemite. I'm waiting for some sort of weird occurrence... I will continue to hold my breath!
I had a few bouts with sleep paralysis but it has been a long time. I had something similar happen but im not sure if it was the same thing. I was in a coma after a surgery on my liver and kidneys and they couldnt wake me up and they told my mother to start handling my affairs because i was going to die. Anyway, i woke up the day they were going to let me go. I woke up with these scary as hell things that were surrounding me staring at me with each one leaning over looking at my face. They were humanoid but their eyes and mouths were perfect little circles and i had no idea where i was. It was absolutely terrifying. I think i might have picked up PTSD BECAUSE IM SO SCARED OF DYING NOW AND I START TO PANIC THINKING ABOUT THOSETHINGS.
I have suffered sleep paralysis when I was much younger and long before I knew this was a "thing". I thought it was something that was just happening to me. I never saw an old hag. I have heard whispering. I have felt my body being lifted up, fast, into the air, tried to move my head against the wall to see if I was still in the bed but couldn't move. Another time I heard the whispering and there was a man in black and a women in white and they were talking about me but I couldn't understand what they were saying and I couldn't move. Another time I heard voices like a crowd of people talking, no one voice distinguishable. I heard a papery sound I recognized as wings, like the sound pigeon wings make. Something was flying around me but I never saw it. When my husband died I dreamt that I was looking for him all the time. Would hear his voice in other rooms but could never find him. One dream I finally did find him. I got real close but I couldn't see his face. That's when I realized I was dreaming. Woke up crying. It was years before I learned there was a name for this; lucid dreaming. I have had a series of dreams where I wake up things start to get weird and I realize I just dreamed I woke up. Over and over again. I was a sleepwalker as a child and it has happened on rare occasions as an adult. My son has heard me talk in my sleep. I live alone now. I NEVER remember my dreams anymore. Not for years. Not at all. I am subscribing. Perhaps you will reply and give me some sort of insight into this.
I think you are just one of those folks who lives close to the veil. In that you are closer to the spirit world than most. I always had the same sleep issues. When i was a kid, I'd run round all night, looking for something, being chased by something, I'd wake up exhausted. I felt like I'd never had a good night's sleep. Until i was about 14yr old i smoked some pot and boom, i slept like a baby for a couple of hours. It was the most peaceful sleep id ever had. I had to chose between sleeping and being a pothead, or being straight but tired and irritable, but i was close to the veil and while it was exhaustive and scary at times, it was how i was and it was difficult. But a girl can't live, if you can't sleep, hence ive smoked pretty much my whole life, except for holidays etc. I would have crazy dreams when I stopped smoking 😂. Yeah I've had actual sleep paralysis, woke up mid morning to a beautiful sunny day, felt great. Except I couldn't move. I fell asleep again and woke up normal. Nothing scary, but I genuinely thought i was paralyzed. BUT I've also had night time events, one could easily understand as abductions or possessions. Like, getting pulled out of bed but being completely powerless. Once I started praying regularly it stopped completely. Jesus saves, look into your relationship with the Lord.
Human brains do weird things in sleep. I've sleepwalked, sleep talk (entire discussions about dimensional tolerancing and machining parts). I've eaten in my sleep. Your brain can try to work out complex problems or repressed emotions in your sleep.
I have heard other reports of two people female and male creepy and today's standards the person that's also in paralysis they couldn't understand what they were saying but they knew they were speaking about them too
I had my night terror, just a couple years ago. I was 55. A black scribbly humanoid. Not shadowy, like a scribble on paper, but a bulky human ish shape. I am atheist and skeptical so my brain didn’t give me a “Ring girl” black eyes and a tattered white dress, nor a shadow thing, nor a demonic beast. A nondescript monster trying to eat me. It had lifted my legs up to its mouth to start snack. I started screaming “don’t eat me!” Over and over. I sleep on my side, so I was board stiff and pivoted on my shoulder. As I screamed, I began to wake, and heard my scream as an inarticulate mumble. As I became conscious, my voice became normal and the beast faded. Of course I was still lying on the bed. But completely scared. I had to wee, and as I sat there I realized what had happened. Then I started to laugh, while I waited for my heart to slow down. I still giggle about it.
I used to believe in ufo's and ETs . Now I'm taking the position that its most likely us from the future . Why ? It makes the most sense to me for lots of reasons . If we had the ability to time travel right now I don't think we'd be able to resist going back in time although any contact would carry with it the danger of significantly changing the timeline . Mandela effect perhaps ?

The one I've heard about is Hwy 20 near the Tennessee/Alabama line. Supposedly, the ghostly figure of a young girl walks this road between a defunct store and her home. She was killed by a hit and run driver carrying some groceries home. Some people have said they'd stopped and offered her a ride, she told them where she was going, just down the road to her house, got in and disappeared just in front of her house. This story was told to me by my uncle some forty years ago when we were going to Savannah, Tennessee to see Shiloh where a battle was fought in the Civil War.

I sleep on my stomach because I read that it's unlikely to experience sleep paralysis that way. After having it happen a few times, I noped out 😅 The very first time was when I worked at a small three screen movie theater. All of us that worked there believed it to be haunted and I was certain that our ghost had followed me home that night after this happened. (We called him "Mr. Less," because, 'less is more' when it comes to creepy shit 😂) Anyway, I was sleeping when I woke up and in the corner of my room I just saw this mass of darkness that was darker than the rest of the room and this oppressive feeling of impending doom. I could tell the scariest thing in the world was there, I didn't know what it would be, but I knew if I saw it my heart would stop from the fear. As soon as I made that realization I also noted that I couldn't move, and that's when I really started to panic, because as I watched and struggled internally, the dark mass started approaching me. I still couldn't discern any features, just that it was tall, really tall. Like, brushing my ceiling kind of tall. I don't know how long I was stuck there watching this evil thing coming to me before I could wiggle my fingers. The second I did manage even that smallest of movements it was like a vacuum sucked the thing away and all was normal again. I don't think our theater ghost followed me home anymore, but for a long time I felt like Mr. Less had it out for me because of this 😅 The theater shut down years ago and I still feel sad that he's up there all by himself now. Hopefully ghosts have some choice in where they haunt and he was able to leave when the rest of us did. I can't think of a more lonely way to spend my time than haunting an empty building. Then again, maybe he likes having it all to himself.
1:14:09 I suffered from sleep paralysis from the age of 15 up to about 38. I never told anyone about it, it was just too crazy!! I remember around the age of 26 it got so bad I was scared to fall asleep. It wasn't an old hag, it was more leaving my body by accident and getting lost in so place that I didn't know. It was a shadow sitting next to my bed staring at me and I couldn't move. Or a screaming in my ears, so load that I was scared my head would explode and I would die in my sleep... or something trying to pull my soul out of my body, so I couldn't breathe. The one time, I was already a grown-up, maybe around 28, I got pulled out of my bed, and shoved against a wall, and the "entity" said "I will never leave you alone". That was one of the scariest experiences 🙈 I remember getting a feeling just before it happened, everytime it would start feeling "heavy" around me, and sometimes there would be a bad smell like Sulphur... but by that time it would be too late to wake up... and I remember thinking, "if I can just move my pinky finger, it will stop" but I could never move... on the inside I would be screaming but I had no voice. Until I started talking to my siblings about it, and 4 of the 5 of us, had the same experiences... just no one ever spoke about it... then someone told me about sleep paralysis, and I started doing a lot of research about it.. the more I learned about it, the less it happened. I also noted that a lot of people who has it, sleep walked as a child... I sleep walked well into my 20's even now I sometimes wake up in another room. But the sleep paralysis hasn't happened again in around the last 5 - 6 years. I also noted that it happened more often when I was very stressed, or very tired. So now I have a strict sleeping schedule. I go to bed at 20:00 and wake up well rested around 4:30 yo 5:00. And a lot of people might not agree, but this works for me... I pray before I go to bed. If I pray before I go to sleep, it doesn't happen. But in the time I still had a lot of episodes, prayers didn't work if the episode had already started 🙈 It was scary as hell!! And so strange that no-one realy talks about it... it played such a big part in my life! I was constantly tired and scared to go to sleep... ps: from Sunny South Africa ❤ Listening to the rest of the video... our house was built in 1916 on a big farm in Pretoria. Despite the sleep paralysis, we had a LOT of paranormal incidents... too much to type out here. But maybe that was related to our experiences. And I could write it off to family madness, but I took in a foster child, and we never told her about all the crazy stuff that happened in this house, and she is telling me things that she couldn't have known... how...???
*I fell asleep during the first story, had the weirdest dream, then woke up after an hour in time for the Amityville Horror before falling asleep as we came to the end of the last story. Many of us turn on these stories because we cannot sleep for one reason or another. In my case chronic tinnitus. They work.*

In the early 80s when I was a child I used to have sleep paralysis. I used to see two different old ladies. One was alone but the other one always had 3 dog like creatures with her. The reason I thought they were something like dogs is because they had chain leashes on. She would let them get super close to me and they would growl and bite at me while laughing the entire time. It was so terrifying. Back then we didn't have the internet or anything so I didn't know what was happening to me. Of course my mother didn't believe me so I just went through it. Such a scary experience that I will never forget
You should know that while frightening, seeing things in sleep paralysis is just a function of your brain trying to make sense of the dim spot in our night vision. Google 'fovea'. Fortunately I knew about this, so when I woke up and saw a big man shape at the end of my bed I just waited to move. Incredibly boring, without the fear. Although I was drenched in sweat, so I think on some level I still freaked out! I hope that helps settle your mind on this. Fascinating, but 100% science.
I have sleep paralysis till now and I'm 41 had it for 9 years since my car accident my wife wakes me up while I'm screaming every night it's terrifying I know how it is it's the worst thing you can get and I get them 2 to times a day
@@Evan-memo Yes it's probably the worst thing ever. Something you can't control and you feel helpless. I still have bad dreams at night but they are from my military service. I sleep about 3 to 4 hours a night and I've done that for years now. I hope you can get rid of the dreams and get some real sleap
I’ve had night terrors all my life. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve grown more annoyed at them. To the point I basically say, “Get on with it. I’m tired and ready to go”. Or just tell ‘em, “fack off”.

I don’t experience the Old Hag. Tho I’ve experienced different sleep paralysis entities, the recurring one that has plagued me in the past seems to resemble a combination of a Dementor from Harry Potter & a Nazgûl from LOTR that winds up hovering above me over my bed. Each time I attempt to get up to turn on the light in my room, but then it hovers over me, proceeding to seemingly choke me where then all the light seems to bleed out of site, quickly fading to darkness where I end up waking up in a panic right before all the is consumed by the darkness. I’ll be 100% honest, it’s definitely stressful… 😒😒😒
I went through years of dreading going to sleep. I would be so tired but scared to close my eyes. When I had to I would feel a buzzing in my ears and tingling would spread down my whole body. The difference I felt from most details of sleep paralysis was although I couldn't move,I wasn't held down,quite opposite. I felt like something was without touch,I was being pulled up rising up from the bed. I tried to wake but couldn't and tried to scream,no noise. I desperately tried to push my body back towards the bed.it was terrifying. No hag,nothing there but never Ben so terrifying. This happened night after night. No idea what it was that was happening
My brother was the first to tell me about the Haynesville Woods of northern Maine. It is a place with numerous spooky tales, one of which involves a young woman who sometimes appears on Rt 2A, distressed, and in front of cars. When offered a ride, she claims her husband needs help due to a wedding-day car accident, but she vanishes as you approach the road's end. A country singer Dick Curless wrote a song about the Haynesville Woods. It's called A TOMBSTONE EVERY MILE.
My hagriden was my sexual abuser (a close relative). It got so bad I had to temporarily take a medication that helped reduce nightmares for veterans of wars.. it helped. I finally fought back and screamed NO to him. That was 20 plus years ago now.. Apparently, I still wake occasionslly yelling NO! But I don't remember anything about the dreams at all. My abuserr hasn't returned to my dreams. Perhaps I'm dreaming about the other abusers; regardless I'm still defeating them. ❤
Ive had awful sleep paralysis, tho its not the hag or shadow beings, mine is always an 8 ft tall reptillian in full battle armour, just standing watching me, has anyone else had anything similar ?, it petrefys me , even recalling and describing this has me anxíoús and scared, ive only started to have these experiences since 2020, any help would be greatly appréciated, thank you
I certainly do not fall asleep to these videos -- I need quiet to sleep, and I turn off horror content after dark -- but the very long videos are *perfect* for listening to while I work on my knitting or weaving (which is literally my job, so I'm basically always on youtube).
As somebody who has sleep paralysis 3-5 times a week I can tell you what you are seeing is fake and a result of you realizing you are stuck with nothing to do. But if you tell yourself it’s just sleep paralysis nothing happens (after obviously getting used to it) 28:03

Damn! It's real. That old hag appeared once "eye less" on a portrait like stature in my sleep paralysis. One of my scariest sleep paralysis ever. I remember that. That happened the first time I put dream catcher inside of my room. After that I threw that dream catcher immediately. It's traumatizing to see that $h*t. I can't sleep for more than a week. 😅
I once experienced sleep paralysis it would have been 10 years ago sometime after an earthquake only I saw a hairy wild man small in stature he was stabing me until I strugled myself awake I couldn't move the whole time, I also had a dream a vivid premition of a man whose legs were cut off, which happened the next day although I only heard about it and wasn't there witnessing it like in the dream, this was the day before the quake.
It's so funny to me hearing other people's sleep paralysis hallucinations because the last time I has sleep paralysis, the presence was soothing and talked to me and rubbed my back until I fell asleep again.
Please, do not blame our family. We do not attack human beings, and have kept contact with you to only the necessary. But there is a strain of frenzie on our composition that sometimes manifests more strongly on some of us. Uncle Jack and Granma were like that. We try our hardest to keep them contained, but sometimes, unfortunatelly, that is not possible. We understand that for you, the harm they do is inexcusable, but for them their nature is just to much strong to resist. But we will increase our efforts to keep them away from you, just please do not blame our family, we do not condone with their actions.
I had a dream once where I looked on a stage and saw two kids kinda soggy looking with generically dark hair, pale skin, baggy eyes skinny as well. Overall a boy and girl stood on this stage and looked at me and I couldn’t feel anything but was a little thrown off cause that’s some weird sounding crap, either way the next moment I was dropped with that falling in your dream feeling back into that same stage area, just too look back at the stage and notice it took on a dingier more abandoned look, I couldn’t tell if there was a crowd the first or second time, but when I locked eyes with the girl, she dropped backwards too the floor and I heard this giant wooden boom, then observing the locks on they’re necks and shackles around the hands and feet, immediately followed by the boy pointing right at me screaming this animal sound, like a human sucking in all the air into his lungs too deliver this guttural inward screech I could feel, and when I looked into him eyes deeper I could feel a primordial fear that instantly shot me awake as a 27 year old man. Too this day I still don’t understand the nightmare but it shook me too my core in a way, and I still don’t understand the significance of that dream nor do I really want too.
26:49 my only occasions of sleep paralysis was a charcoal black zombie like thing with a tooth filled hole for a face jumping into my face before I woke up and a tiny little baby thing crawling up into one of the corners of the room where the 3 faces of the wall meet and then within a second jumping into my face before waking with a gasp thinking back on this dream the baby thing reminded me of the denizens in the call of duty black ops 2 zombies transit map
If I had a tv in my bedroom I would fall asleep to something dumb there, but I don't so I fall asleep to nightmare fuel to overflow the usual nightmares into regular dreams
Ooo .. not being like oh man/woman/person how can you NOT know this but this is kinda cool about names... Names can be exactly the same spelling and still properly pronounced differently?! For example.. Zoe and Zo. We would expect to hear the E because vowel rules say we do but Joe. We don't call this name (typically) Joē .. so thats a thing. Hands down my favourite channel to listen to while falling asleep! The way you edit things is awesome. Absolutely LOVE that you strip the background but still have subtle sounds like the fire and include dark screens. I have listened to this series on your channel sooooo many times and keep coming back again each night. Keep up the awesome work. Would also love to hear you do more criptid stuff or even true crime. Thanks! True crime is a topic that makes me feel a little uncomfortable to cover, while I do tackle it from time to time it's only if a story really captures my imagination in some way. Cryptids, I'd love to do more of but I find it's really tricky to find detailed stories about them.
I'm glad you make your videos with minimal background music/sound. Just a little bit is fine, but for those who listen to this stuff in the background, music and ridiculous sound effects added at higher volumes is a big detraction from the experience. I notice the sounds you do add in production, generally add to the experience if ALL one is doing is listening. Your channel is great and I enjoy it immensely.
I have woken to a black smoky cloud above the bed in someone’s basement. The cloud moved itself as an amoeba, projecting parts of itself as “arms” and pulling itself forward slowly in that direction. There were tiny lights lit up within the loud that would brighten and dim. Many pilots, including pink, which surprised me, as it was my least favorite color, and one I would not choose in an imaginary image. By the time the cloud moved itself into the doorway of the next room, it flew quickly through the wall into an adjacent room. I heard a rattle and ding, as if it hit the furnace in that room and bounced around. I wasn’t threatened, but went upstairs to report this weird experience where other people were.
I have had sleep paralysis since I can remember. It started off small sleeping over friends houses thinking they were just me being overtired. But what I’ve come to find out is if I do not sleep in a bed, so a floor a couch anything else I will get it. And it’s bad I’ve heard my son crying in the other room for me and I try with all my might to get to him and I can’t, Mind you he’s not over that weekend. Mind you he’s too old to cry like that. But my brain can’t process that. I’ve heard my parents come home when I was at home dropping their keys opening the garage door talking to themselves, saying hello I’ve heard my animals moving around getting pet and good boys and good girls. I’ve heard my girlfriend come home and walk right past me, mind you none of that actually happened. It feels like my whole body is pins and needles and I have to rest and try to punch or kick my way out of it when there’s a lull in the pins and needles. I have no idea if that makes sense. And the second I do wake up, I have to get up because if I don’t move, I go right back into it. I can open my eyes, but nothing else can move.
If I ever dislike the video just know that I listen from RU-vid on my phone and have done so in my pocket on accident as your videos will always be greatly harrowing. Although, not as harrowing as the idea of how many other videos I have done this with.
