I dig this ultra long form maternity leave content! I work from home and I enjoy the company (and appreciate not having to look for new videos every 30 minutes) whilst I work ❤
I also work from home and I will absolutely be doing this with the next video !!! Such a good idea thank you. Also who wouldn’t love Hannah as a coworker ❤
To this day, Velvet Dragon and Velvet Morning are still my go to, favorite lipsticks. I wear one of them almost everyday. I hope her son gets HER hair!!! I love these montages!
okay wow did not know there was this much Lisa Eldridge content on the channel. perfect time to educate myself with this next addition to the HLP Cinematic Universe!!
Watching the evolution of you realizing what your skin tone is 💀 Holding you and your family close in my heart, my dear, and loving watching these through again!
These long compilation videos are giving me life. It’s so wonderful to get to see Hannah through the ages (only 5 years). Love to reflect on the changes in taste, channel success, brands, and the evolution of trends in such a short period of time. It’s really fun! Also nice to see what products have ended up sticking around, and which ones are long gone❤
I'm enjoying this long form , best of-ish content. I remember a Kimberly Clark video with the best/most impactful thoughts and categories of her anti-hauls, and it made me realize: if you post authentic, original , well-made content - that'll never get old, no matter which new trends may arise on the platform. HLP has cultivated one of these channels, too. And as stoked as I am for her being a new mom, I absolutely love that she plans to share about that on insta instead of youtube - I've had the experience that often people's channels start becoming baby channels/family vlogs, which I'm just not into. I really appreciate that Hannah considered the options.
Here to support HLP et al.’s family leave!! (Also chuckling at the irony of the first segment starting with a comment about being a very short video, vs the compilation runtime being almost 3 hours 😂)
Lisa's black is my favourite black! I love how easily and smoothly it smokes out and adds what I can only describe as a 'sooty' look, which makes the namenof lamp black the most perfect name for it.
I think 'lamp black' is a historically accurate name, it's referencing a common victorian make up that was just soot from holding metal over an open flame and then using that soot.
I don’t know if I’ll ever feel again the way I felt waiting for, and receiving, my first LE lipstick. What an iconic moment in beauty history we got to experience! Thanks for capturing and archiving that feeling for us✨
I keep thinking Lisa Eldridge makeup is new but wow this compilation shows its has been around for a bit! Loving these compilation videos! Hope the family is doing well 💖💖
Soooo smart this idea you guys had to do these long form compilation videos! I feel like most content creators tend to make a bunch of rushed feeling/artificial feeling pre filmed content to fill gaps like maternity leave, medical leave, vacation etc. This is even better!
In watching your review of the seamless foundation, I wonder how the new light olive shade of foundation (2.5) would work for you. The other olive shade (shade 9) is one of the first perfect matches I’ve ever had with my light olive skin
I love the long form maternity content, too! And I just happened to receive MY first Lisa Eldridge purchase in the mail today - Velvet Enchantment lipstick and 2 eye liners (ground coffee and renaissance gold). First impression - aMAZing!
Watching this while eating lunch with my (almost) 4 month old who is refusing to nap for longer than 30 minutes. Hoping things are going smoothly with you!
Perfect timing! Just as I finished the blush compilation video (over multiple watches), this one is now here for me to watch. Very much looking forward to it!
Omg! I forgot this is one of my favorite segments from you - where you compare Kitten Mischief to a Farrow & Ball paint color! Struck home with me, without a doubt. IYKYK…. Enjoy your beautiful boy!
Love seeing the progression over time. Congratulations on your happy family. Thanks for offering these fun long form deep dives. And I love Lisa Eldridge. She is a gem. I’m glad she’s looking out for our aging skin with elegant looks and formulas. 🕊🌿🌷
I forgot how similar Clionadh carving and LE mercurial are! I was eagerly awaiting the mercurial restock but now I see that I should just use the beautiful carving that I already own
Watching this again (I saw the original videos too) makes me understand why Lisa's foundation works for me and also makes me think I should try the Fenty ease drops. I need only a little coverage (use 1/2 pump for the whole face, and I've found I can also use this foundation as concealer a lot of the time) and have aging skin, so I really need this type of formula. It's really not detectable, unlike a lot of products--but it's pigmented, so a little goes a long way.
Hi Hannah. I hope everyone is doing well and that you are enjoying getting to bond with your new baby. I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed going through your last vid on 5 years of blushes vid/compilation. And today, Lisa Eldridge!!! The great thing about LE, is that nothing is not yet discontinued so someone may be bound to get excited about trying her products. Thanks so much for sharing while you are on post natal leave. Thinking of you!
It's so fun for an almost three hour long video to open with "If everything goes accorsing to plan, this will be the shortest video I've ever filmed." This was such smart maternity leave content and I hope the increased watch time/run time boosts your adsense rate so this can be as low-stress a time as possible!!
Lol I subscribed right before she announced her maternity leave. But I'm here for this content getting me right on track for what her speed is! Love long form content as well, so this isn't bad in the slightest :)
This progression helped me talk myself out of the Velvet lipsticks, especially in Dragon. It is gorgeous! But I just don't wear lip products with a matte finish or in that bold red, even if it looks beautiful on HLP, my skin twin. There will be a LE product for me some day, but not that one!
‼️question for the comment section‼️ i know the sorcery and vega palettes received quite a bit of hype when they released. are you still using them or did they end up in the back of your drawers? i keep contemplating picking them up but don’t know if it’s just because of fomo or if they’re actually worth it.
I bought both the Sorcery and the Vega palette at first launch, and ended up returning them. I found the mattes had a slightly putty like texture which did not agree with my slightly creepy 50-year-old eyelids in the slightest. I remember in her review Hannah talked about them being like art supplies and almost like oil paints, and if you imagine painting onto crêpe paper with oil paints, it’s not a good match. The shimmers were nice but absolutely nothing that you couldn’t get in other palletes. The shimmers in the Vega palette for instance are very similar to some of the ones in Natasha Denona’s I need a Nude. Sorcery was more original, but how often do you realistically wear green eyeshadow?
I have also fair skin, indeed most light foundations have pink undertones and don't look nice on me, so I usually use BB cream to skip foundations or use some concealer on some areas instead of applying foundation.
Ooh, this video makes me hope there's a really long lipstick-themed parental leave video. Show me all those beautiful weird lip colors! Hehehehehe. I hope baby Felix is doing well in his first weeks!
