Well it was for me to, what I did was I told everyone that I was leaving, then you feel compelled to follow through, so I did, I chucked the shitty job in, I sold everything and the house is under contract, I jumped on a plane and left New Zealand, I drag everything I own in a 120 ltr duffel trolly bag....I procrastinated so long I had to do something. I'm single which I guess helped me make the decision. The third option in this video tickles my fancy.....and I'm in a position to do it. You can do it too !!
There is only one volcano on mainland Sicily :) It is affecting departures from Catania airport but otherwise life is continuing as normal. The Stromboli eruption is affecting just the access to Stromboli (island).

That's correct, if you are a resident of Italy you do not pay property tax on your primary residence. For a second property or if you live abroad the annual property tax varies between 0.86%-1.06% of the cadastral value of the property.
