Is it only me, or does anyone else find watching the deburring of the acrylic so satisfying?! 😊

It’s super easy! It works best when your pieces aren’t rock hard yet. Not soft or bendy, but not fully cured.

I have a ball that was a 2 piece mold and there's an edge in the middle. Do you have a video on how to polish that off?
@tiffaniwilliamsfineart

I don’t have a video on that specifically. I would just use sandpaper, but to get the shine back you’ll have to top coat. That will be challenging with a ball. Maybe spray it with a glossy lacquer?

So the blades is actually SUPPOSED to move?! I thought mine was broken and never used it!

I just bought one, waiting for it arrive. While looking on Amz, I was trying to figure out if it was electric and rotated. Does seem like it would work easier if that blade was stationary.

I’ve tried it with a stationary blade and it’s harder to use on curved or jagged edges (like a geode mold). The swivel helps it follow all the curves and edges more closely.

Is there any reason this can also be used on lips coming from coaster molds?
@tiffaniwilliamsfineart
@tiffaniwilliamsfineart Год назад
You can use it for sharp edges on any resin item. It is harder to control on things like a round coaster (easier on straight or concave edges, harder on convex edges), so it will take some practice.

How does this work for left handed people?
@tiffaniwilliamsfineart
@tiffaniwilliamsfineart 2 года назад
It is a double sided blade. I actually use it left handed on some items that curve away from me.

what if you cut the edges with a heated knife?
@tiffaniwilliamsfineart
@tiffaniwilliamsfineart Год назад
That wouldn’t be safe since the resin would emit toxic fumes. Plus it wouldn’t work as well. I think it would just get gummy and sticky.
