You can drop off your specimens at the patient service centers of the lab that your doctor has an account with. If the order is for LabCorp you can drop it there, if it's Quest it can be dropped there. Just make sure you centrifuge your specimens. I find some labs are funny about blood being unspun.

I work for LabCorp as well! I am wanting to start my own mobile phlebotomy business. Does LabCorp help with this? I have been a phlebotomist for about 18 years.
How do you get paid? meaning what insurances pay for mobile phlebotomy? who does your billing? I know how to do it but I am missing the correct cpt codes to bill myself.
Find out the Licensing Requirements in your State: All states are different in what they require in order to license your business. It’s best to contact a local health law attorney for advice on what you need to do in your state, or you can contact your state’s Department of Health to determine if any testing or licensing is required to start a mobile phlebotomy business in your state.
Hi Nikki. To answer your question, I just start with doctors that i've built relationships with over the years. I actually started as an MA so that put me in contact with a lot of Docs. But contact office managers of practices in your area and go from there. Also when it comes to pricing, think about your target area, your skill set and charge what you think your skills are worth.
If you're in california you need both. I already have my certificate but until I get my license I cannot even work. In other states all you need is a certificate but in some you need a license and a certificate.
