Hey all! I hope one or more of these are up your alley. Side note: I was super impressed with how well my new carbon steel pan handled the burgers! Crust city.
I need to pull my carbon steel pan back out of the cabinet-love using it. But I've been cooking in my big cast iron pan for a long time, sort of like a culinary security blanket.
It's like you're in my brain. I was just telling my best friend like yesterday that I was having to make things that take less time, because I've been so busy lately LOL As to the nutritional balance, they can just eat less of the pasta and put something else on the side. In Italy, a pasta dish isn't typically the entire meal, it's a primo piatto.
That’s where my head is at too. If you’re generally eating a good variety, it’s ok to have straight up noodles & butter once in awhile! Glad to help out with the quick dinners. I’ll come up with some more!
Such yummy dinner ideas, the burgers with coleslaw look perfect, also that gnocchi is something I keep meaning to buy and eat, you can also skip the boiling and pan fry them, they taste like little baked/fried potatoes for a different take on the ingredient. And I saw that comment under your brilliant pasta dish, didn't have a reply that wasn't lethal so I let it go lol. Thank you for another lovely episode, I love Wednesdays thanks to you Paula!
Hahah it’s always fun to read the comments. Most of them are so nice that it’s ok to have a less nice one once in awhile 😄. Good call on the pan fried gnocchi. I feel like that would be good with browned butter. 🧈
Darn I meant to try that gnocchi! Might just have to make it. Also - gold star on the kettle boiling! It has the added benefit of not boiling over an empty pot of water when you forget it is on the stove.....
