You know who else packages like this, the cartel. 😂🤣 You had me cracking up! I've been working up to ordering from Ice. But like you, I get overwhelmed at their website. Just an FYI Herrschners just started selling the baby puzzle under the name Sweet Swirls and calling it a #3 weight for $6.99 a ball! Thanks for sharing! The more I see Ice unpackagings the more I know what I want so I don't end up going into the abyss of their website! 😂 Have a great weekend!

I watch The Secret Yarnery too and I always enjoy watching Krista unbox her orders. I’ve often thought about ordering yarn from Ice yarns. One day I will. All of the yarn you bought is so pretty. 🧶💜🙏🏻

I made my first order of Ice Yarn last July. I was not satisfied with the yarn I bought. But instead of keeping it in those plastic bags, I decided to take them off and after few days, they feel a lot different. It is just like if, the fact that they take off the air for the delivery process, they need few days of air to be at their best. I bought few antipilling yarn so far and they are as soft as Premier Yarn. Just give them time to breath in the air.😉

Jen, I have not been brave enough to buy Ice Yarns yet. Either way it will have to wait a while. I want to make several of your Premier 2024 patterns and I need to by yarn. I been watching the Country Roads Closed Poncho video and practicing the foundation single crochet using a piece of left over acrylic. I don't want to mess up my cotton yarn when I get it. I am now on my third attempt and if finally looks good. Going to undo and try one more time. Great teaching video by the way. I will be watching SecretYarnery to she how she orders Ice Yarn. I checked out the website and didn't like. Hope you are having a Great Day!!!

Yarn is expensive in Canada, so 9/10 times I shop at ICE. Yes, sometimes I have bought something that wasn't what I expected, but I usually find something I can make out of it. I bought one of their lot sales that had their Favorite (all one colour) for $22 US for 27 balls. Some were wound tighter or looser than others, which is probably why they were in the sale section, but I'm okay with that. Even with exchange, shipping and duties, it was less expensive than anything I could get at Michaels. They manufacture for several other yarn sellers, including Loops and Threads. Have fun with those gorgeous colours.

I made my daughter sweater from that thin puzzle yarn. It’s so soft. I held two strands together and it came out so cool with the different colors.

Nice, I go divide what I buy from ice the yard because some skeins have lots of yardage. Sometime I can get 1¢ to 5¢ a yard. Once I got 0.175¢ a yard for one order. Really it is a learning curve with ice yarn but I mostly try to search for something I have an idea for or contents of what the yarn is made of and try to zoom in and look at pics they have to get any idea of I might like the texture or look of yarn.

The wool YarnArt Heritage yarn that you saw on mafas makes is the exact same one you got from Ice Yarns. There are quite a few Ice yarns that are called different names on other websites like Hobium too. Like Madame Tricot Favori is called Favorite on Ice. YarnArt Ambiance is really Lana Bella on Ice. So rest assured you got the same yarn :) I think on Hobium the Heritage is $2.95 a skein.

Hey Jen!! Do you remember premiers sprinkles? Ice sells them now!!! They are out of most of the colors and about $5 a cake after shipping so I’m gonna wait to see if they come down a bit. But they were listed as a new yarn this week!

Hi Jennifer. The "anti-pilling magic" and the "magic anti-pilling" are actually 2 different yarns. Ice has a lot of yarns that are named like that; really have to watch when ordering.

Jen the Autumn Top I made of yours was made from the ice yarns Rainbow, it’s so soft and slick, so easy to work with and one of my favorites. I love their yarns and the quality of them. Try their cakes if you can! Have a beautiful weekend

I love the rainbow. I have several different colors of it and it’s really nice. Like the puzzle baby but I want to try the mosaic it’s supposed to be a complete dupe of puzzle. Same size and weight and number of yards. Thanks for sharing all that yarn Yumminess. Hope you’re having a great day.❤

Wow, that's some pretty yarn ❤. I would love to see you spinning wool🫶. I used to have an antique spinning wheel, but I couldn't fix it, so I gave it to a family who was able to repair it, and they sent me a video of their little boy using it✨️❤️✨️. I have only purchased ice yarns magic glitz, and it is beautiful, but I thought it wasn't as soft as other yarns I've had, but I still want to try their wool. I will be waiting to see what you make of it😊.

Every time I have ordered ice yarns Canada customs has opened and resealed the package, probably for the reason that you mentioned. I have never had an ice yarn that I didn’t love.

With Ice I find it the least overwhelming to use the Categories. Once you've selected a category (say Self-Striping Yarns) then you're shown a bunch of names with pictures and fiber content. Don't scroll down past them, as underneath is all the yarn in all the colour ways in that category and this is what confuses and overwhelms people. Clicking on the photo of a named variety takes you to it's page and then scrolling down lists all the colour in of that particular yarn. This way makes it a little harder to find particular yarn weights (as you'll only see weight by looking at each yarn variety), but is ideal if you're focused on fiber content.
